wasn't she injured most of the season? she was limited on playing time. i think these athletes are over being overly managed by the medical staff and coaches.

she was coming back from injury that had her out for the 23-24 season.

Nice addition. Averaged 12+ points for Wichita State last year. Started every game and ended the year with a 30 point game against Tulane. And 2 years left to play!

From my understanding she hadn't played basketball in 3 years before playing this past season due to injuries. That could explain why as Gap put it "she couldn't handle the duties". 3 years is a long time to be out of the game and unrealistic to expect massive numbers from a player after being out that long.

Didn't do well against SEC talent. Low shooting percentage. We already have a volume shooter. We need true scorers.

We will get to see what kind of coach she is this season (assuming she can fill a roster and we don't hear excuses about how most of the girls are hurt and can't practice). I pray she knocks it out of the park. I'm not sure many will be watching, though.

I think the thing I'm curious about is she's pulling the best players from terrible teams…. WSU went 11-22 last year. I guess the question that comes to mind of me is how much more productive can these players be on average teams?

On paper, this team seems more talented/productive than last year. How does that translate, No ****ing idea. But so far, it isn't a terrible terrible roster. A few decent pieces if they can adjust

Unfortunately I feel like we have seen what kind of coach she is the last 3 seasons. I hope she turns it around also, but is looking like an uphill battle at this point.

are you sure you're not thinking of Kyndall? She didn't play her last year @ Texas before she transferred to TAMU & then promptly tore her achilles I think during the summer?

Definitely Erica. She didn't play her last two years of high school due to injury and then injury again freshmen year.

She was. I don't think Joni really wanted to talk about it but there was a press conference before the season started two years ago when they were incoming freshmen and she talks about Erica being out in HS due to injury.

Agreed. I think that mad it all worse. There was also a press conference where she mentioned something about some practices not even having all the players to minute and injury restrictions which for sure doesn't help team chemistry or success.

That's what concerns me this year. She's gonna have a few months to build up team chemistry with a roster where 2 girls have shared the court together and only 1 of them played in the NCAA tourney last year (although she didn't score). Everyone else was part of losing programs last year. I'm not sure how a coach that nobody wants to play for is going to put together a team with excellent chemistry and cohesion

Jordan Webster is an amazing addition! A true homecoming (from Dallas, TX) with 4 full years of experience + 1,200+ career points & led Big West conference in scoring. Also averaged 2.5 steals (& Pryor led D1 in steals)
