Phenomenal lunch at Bar A yesterday. Brisket and smoked ribeye (at only $28/lb!!) were the highlights. Really loved the sausage too. Sides left a bit to be desired but still good overall. Highly recommend.

What are some of your favorite MICHELIN restaurants in different American cities?
Austin, Texas
Nixta and LeRoy & Lewis are my favorites. Those I go back to the most delicious food that I can't find elsewhere. At LeRoy and Lewis, they happen to have one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life, and all their other barbecue is fantastic too.
There might be someone here that can help you out...500,000ags said:
Has anyone tried the Leroy and Lewis steak night? The site won't show me the next available dates, I just have to guess, which makes it tough to schedule.

They put a lot of their recipes on YouTube which is pretty incredible. I haven't been able to try that item but this might be what you're looking for.HTownAg98 said:
If you're ever willing to share the recipe for the pork belly rib and where to procure that cut of meat, I'd be grateful. Our table split one of those, and it was more than enough.

Review? Those ribs look a little weathered.

Nothing life changing but solid. The pulled chicken with Alabama white sauce was probably the highlight (as well as the collard greens). And it was cheap. 4 meats with 4 sides was $42.

It'll be a cold day in hell when I pay $32/LB for pulled pork. Can't believe people do that
Not enough people understand this. Most of these top guys don't want you to buy their brisket. Margins are **** for it. If they could, they'd most likely take it off the menu.tsuag10 said:
I feel real bad for the guys lower down on the list that still have to charge $32+ per lb (just to pay for meat, trim, shrink, and overhead) and they DONT have a line out the door.

Plus what weirdo goes to a place like franklins and gets pulled pork anyway?

I tried to go to Burndt Bean Thrs afternoon about 1:30 and Sunday morning about 7:30 am. There was at least 75 people in line both days, several with coolers,
I just kept on driving. Must be good.

They only received a Top 50 honorable mention this time, but I had the Mother Clucker at Stanley's Famous Pit BBQ in Tyler last weekend. So simple but so good and possibly my favorite TX BBQ joint sandwich. I add their slaw to it for an upgrayedd.

It may not be on the list but I'm a huge fan of the baby backs at Kings Tavern between Kilgore and Tyler.
