My guess is he had to officially apply to get a medical redshirt for the 2021 season when he was at New Mexico State but he should get it, he only played one game.

We've talked about some of the wild eligibility stuff with this roster but Agee might be the wildest of all. He was originally part of the 2019 high school class.

For reference that was Buzz's first class here that included Emmanuel Miller, Andre Gordon, etc.

19-20: Redshirted at NMSU
20-21: Played one game at NMSU (this is the year he should get back, but you have to exhaust your eligibility before you apply)
21-22: Played JuCo (doesn't count anymore)
22-23: Bowling Green
23-24: Bowling Green
24-25: USC

It's also dumb as hell that the redshirting rules are different between sports.

Our staff expects him to be eligible but with the NCAA you never know.

Saying juco doesnt count anymore is not strictly true. Its been ruled that it shouldn't start the eligibility clock, but for a player like Agee who went back to Juco, his clock had already started, and its never been ruled that going back to juco pauses your eligibility. That would continue us down the slippery slope and imply generally that eligibility is paused when you quit playing NCAA and you can resume your career later.

True, I hadn't considered the "clock" aspect of it which could make this case potentially different from other recent rulings.

The "clock" thing is dumb anyway. You should just have X amount of years (whatever they decide) of college eligibility - that are only used when you play. If you attend college and then go on a mission for a year- you shouldn't be penalized for that year. Same with juco... in my opinion.. kids should not be penalized for playing juco ball out of a certain sequence... attending juco should be encouraged..

Only exception where the clock makes sense to me is if the kid originally left college to play pro in that sport.

I think that college sports with professionalization should probably adopt simpler eligibility rules and go with an age cap. 24-under league or something like that

I can't figure out who he reminds me off. Like a more aggressive Dexter Dennis or maybe like a good Jay Jay Chandler.

I know your'e joking but I'd take a Donald Sloan clone in a heartbeat.

Sort of looks like a Tyrece Radford but better shooter statistically . Good rebounding guard statistically admittedly against lower level competition . Highlights don't indicate much defensively imo.

He's a lot bigger though. Almost Manny-like when Manny is good.
