If Florida could shoot at all they'd be up there with that elite group. Might still get there anyway.

I highly doubt we're favored but it definitely won't be as much as we thought a few weeks ago.

What you posted may have been the intent of the comment, but he didn't say that. He said "They're not a good story; they're a good basketball team is what they are." After talking about how we didn't get any press/headlines.
The "just" does a lot of heavy lifting in how that sentence comes across.
But I agree that your interpretation was probably more accurate to the intent.

It's wild Jerome Tang was on the cusp of getting some huge jobs after his first season at KSU. He's proven to be a terrible roster builder and if not for a large buyout would probably be back on the end of the Baylor bench in short order.
A 17-2 turnover margin and +6 in offensive rebounding. They've shot 19 more shots than Bama has.

I like Buckys coaching better than Oates so far. Oates has the horses, but I think Bucky will prove to be better overall. Hopefully as early as Wednesday.

KSU with a strong showing in the largest losing margin category, down to ISU by 29 at the half. However, like Bobinator said, ISU may show mercy towards the end. The Terps are still hanging tough, keeping their deficit around 25 with ~ 2 mins left. Alabama seem to be out of the competition for largest deficit, only down 16 to FLA. My bet is still on the Terps.
I'm really not sure about Alabama defense. Florida looks great but so much ole defense.
One thing for us Wednesday is that we and UF could not be more different. Bama will have a tough time adapting. I'd not be surprised to see UGA again.
I agree that playing UF at home is a huge plus. I still think we lose (so much athletic size) but I'd be shocked at the 20 point blowout I expected in December.

Also think this week is Florida's bye date which doesn't help any. They'll get a couple extra days to prepare for us.

Not I. I've said they should be a top 2-3 seed. I don't think they will be even with no more losses. But they should be. That's a great team that's kinda figuring out new roles. At home and with scoring at the end, we may keep it close but damn.

With apologies, I need to announce a winner in the silly (never to be repeated) contest to determine which team would lose by the largest margin among the three early afternoon games that included ranked teams (PUR-MD, ALA-FLA, and ISU-KSU). ALA finished third, losing to FLA by only 23 (77-100). They were beaten out by two 30+ point losers. Maryland, finished a close second, losing by an even 30 to Purdue (63-93). And the winner, Kansas State, lost to Iowa State by 34 (61-95). Special congratulations to both MD and KSU for losing by 30+ on their home courts. Must have been an enjoyable afternoon for their fans.

I'm also very interested in the dynamic of the tourney seeding and the possible round 2 match ups. Getting a top seed but potentially having to face a team like us, or Bama, Tennessee, or Kentucky in round 2 will be tough
We have a legit shot to beat Bama if we play like we have the last 3 games . We will have our work cut out for us vs Florida but it's not an impossible task .
