Really, don't mean to be rude but they are easy to find so I thought you were messing.

You can find estimated top 10 lists everywhere with basic searches. Now the values might be slightly different because the criteria being used might be slightly different and the articles will detail the criteria used but they are all consistent on one thing. Texas is at number 1 the last two years at well over 40 mil for their football roster. And that number is actually low for them bc not every dollar going to Arch is known.

I hope we get a commitment out of Azua in the coming days. There might only be 1 or 2 absolute 10 out 10 stud pitchers in the college game. We would have 3 different 9 to 9.5 pitchers to throw at you every weekend. And you are likely to see all three every weekend in some capacity. And you could never prep for all 3 in the depth you could if there was just one feared pitcher.

There are only a couple of absolute dominant aces in the entire sport now and even they aren't spotless. You saw it several times this year in the NCAA tournament where a team's #1 didn't have it and their #2 or #3 came in and shut down the opponent. This is partly due to the ability to prep better for a team's pitcher as the pitching machines now can be programmed to emulate a pitchers spin rate, speed, and movement unlike a decade ago and also because batting lineups are better 1-9 than they used to be.

You may see a different "ace" at different times of the season too as moxie, confidence, energy, and determination have their peaks and valleys in a season. A discussion about who is the best would indicate to me a pretty loaded staff and things are going well.

I'm not big on estimation. I like cold, hard numbers. If they are so easy to find, can you please post a link to exact, unbiased figures. I would live to see them as I believe Tech spent more than anyone else (even Oklahoma) by a good bit and I would love proof. Please don't link some horse**** On3 valuations either.

And if Texas (and Arch) are not reporting every dollar to the NCAA, then please also link that because that is a violation in and of itself. I am beginning to think you are not as clear on how NIL works as you seem to portray.

This whole discussion started bc someone stating Tech is winning bc they are buying players. I point out Texas as well and most likely the most. I reference their football roster bc of the lists I noted earlier. Which all have Texas at the highest. While an estimate it does back up my statement that was questioned on this thread. And really is not that surprising. You needing hard numbers instead of estimates does change any of the above or really add any value the exact areas being debated.

Are you saying you don't think Texas has the most expensive roster in football at this time?

I don't pay attention to all the in fighting posts but why are discussing Football spending on NIL on the softball thread? Seems an odd discussion

For the record, I am only interested in softball NIL spending and this will be my last post on the matter as it is not related to this thread. Sorry for allowing myself to get derailed.

I blithely assumed we were talking about softball NIL when I responded earlier.

Exactly. I've made it crystal clear this is softball only talk on this thread but he continues to bring up football.
