In response to the OP, just because someone like Macron babbles on about doing something at the toothless creature we call the UN doesn't mean a Palestinian state is on its way. The Palestinians themselves collectively don't even care about having a "homeland". Had they chosen to live like normal civil people they could functionally have had a homeland. Instead they chose to focus on the elimination of someone else's homeland and play "the oppressed " card. They have been used and will continue to be used as Muslim extremist pawns.

If France recognizes Palestine statehood, Trump should recognize the Basque regions of France as independent.

What does Mahmoud Abbas have to do with Gaza? Macron should be recognizing Hamas's current leader.

Even the Arab nations are fed up with the Palestinians and it is no surprise that the strongest bastions of anti-Israel (or is it really anti-jewish) sentiment are found in Europe.

I do get the dynamic over there…..but I will say my thoughts anyway.

Every bad thing that Palestinians are exposed to, poverty, starvation, neglect from the world community, living in rubble, to live with basic freedoms and governance can all be dealt with if the Palestinian people do one thing as a people and that is……….hey Israel, USA, and EU see that building over there HAMAS fighters hide weapons there, HAMAS soldiers live here, there and over hear, tunnels are all located here, HAMAS is going to attack at this time…..once the Palestinians renounce violence against Israel and turn on HAMAS then anything, everything is possible for the Palestinians.


The Palestinians control their own destiny and I frankly will look the other way if they starve to death. The starvation is a product of HAMAS….not because of Israel , or anyone else.

They've been pretty stupid people, frankly. All they have to do is do what you said and then follow the model that Muslims everywhere else are doing which is to simply play along to get along all the while outbreeding the natives. Then when they have the numbers they can simply usurp the natives. Israel is liberal enough that they would likely fall for this over time.

Interestingly, there are now local sheiks who are starting to build their own power bases to circumvent Hamas and the PLO and negotiating directly with Israel for their own enclaves. They see that the current perpetual victomhood + periodic terrorist attacks do not work so are trying something new.
