I've been looking for a timeshare at Lake Conroe. Toledo Bend is full.

I challenge you to find a Silverleaf (SL) Piney Shores weeks 23-34 (June to August) for less than $3750, the cheapest I saw on the site you referenced was $15,900. Lets assume that's an annual usage and divide by 2 so roughly $7800.

KW02, you found the $1 timeshare but that is week #5, the first week Feb. Maybe good if you own in a snow ski town but not so much in Conroe. As you can imagine, in most locations the most value is going to be Spring Break, Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years and over the Summer months. In addition my unit was purchased prior to 2006 so I qualify for what is called Endless Escapes in odd years, the year I have access to the resort. So in the odd years, based on availability I can get unlimited Bonus time for free for up to 6 nights at time, reserved up to two weeks out. For example, today when I called I could get into any resort but this is early May, when kids are in school. Obviously it would be much more difficult over Spring Break, x mas, summer etc. Their are 13 SL resorts in places like Branson, Orlando, Canyon Lake, Georgia, East Tx, here is the complete list.

ATM 9000, you pay the SAME annual fee and RCI fee per year regardless if that is a year you use the trade, do the $900 figure(carrying cost for 2 years) is totally accurate.
Why am I selling? Have a deer lease in Wimberley, Condo in Bryan(Traditions) so don't have as much time for this or flexibility(kids in HS and College) to schedule the trade trips in the summer. Since this resort is worth less in trade value than the ones I am getting in CO you have to be flexible on when you can go.

I say hold on to it and give it to one of your kids when they graduate.

ferris, your momma!! I could care less who buys them.
I was getting slammed and saying it was worth $0 and just provided hard evidence for my case that the real value was $3750. Sheet, I have two college/HS kids that have cars, drive, insurance, a deer lease(camper trailer, 4 wheelers, jeep, blinds, etc etc on the lease) a condo, golf cart, all kind of junk. So the $5k I spent on this and $400/year carrying cost on this is a rounding error. If you have older college/HS aged kids like I do you will understand.

$25,000 a year for college costs, soup to nuts, vs $400 a year for a timeshare. Sign me up for that trade!!!

Lets dog the guy for putting it out there but if he retorts back with something we dont like, YOURE AN A HOLE. Too damn funny. Now you know why some buy a bunch of tickets to insulate them from the dumb@sses on this site. I know, humble brag, I am an a-whatever.quote:

He only needs about $3,000. It's a good deal that gives you an out.
Just trying to help. No need to be an a-hole
