actuallt reminds me of a buddy I met on a business trip in Russia, we were both there for a convention and he had just started his own company of industrial grease and oils, his name was Ray Bathhouse; and he called the company "Bathhouse Lubricants".

I told him that I appreciated his desire to have his company named after his family and he could probably corner the homosexual astroglide market, but he might want to reconsider changing the name.

There's a guy in Ennis who makes custom pits. The name - Johnson Smokers. Not sure I would have went with that even if it was my last name.

It is an absolutely mind boggling name choice; although the saying is "you don't know **** from shinola" all most people remember is "****" linked to "shinola", not normally the connection you're looking for in a quasi luxury watch brand.
I have a buddy who has some $5k plus special edition shinola watch....one of about 50 watches he owns, comes from a billionaire family. It's a really cool looking watch, but the name and logo....just strikes out for me. I feel like everyone sees his watch from afar is like "oooohhhhh" and then see it up close and are like "oh"

he's got more money than he knows what to do with, so to each their own, but I don't get it

Yeah, I think Dave Chapelle was rocking a Shinola at one of his recent comedy shows, looked nice from afar at least.

Asking for a friend: What are the replacement options for a ~10 year old two-tone jubilee bracelet that's sagging?

Rolex wants $4k - which seems steep at first but like that may be the market still. Are there good third party alternatives y'all would recommend or other potential solutions? My friend is keen on keeping it the same look / style, so other strap options (leather, etc.) aren't on the table.

Still around some. I added that crazy ****ing Rolex a couple pages ago. My good watches mainly sit on the shelf because I wear my Garmin Quatix most of the time, so not much to share on here.

Yeah, mostly just NBA board and a true crime post on Politics. Havent been opening much else.

Did buy myself a generator on tax free weekend. Got the Firman 9400w max tri-fuel from Costco. Here's to hoping no hurricanes come since I am actually prepared this time.
