I love it. I also saw a picture where the polished steel bezel looked black, and it might have looked even better.

After years of creeping on this thread, I bought a watch. Baby steps.

I'm thinking that I'm going to part with a couple of my pieces that I rarely wear to fund a Grand Seiko when I go to Japan in a couple of months. I'll post pics later, but the two that I'm planning to sell are my BB58 925 and my Oris Aquis 39.5 in green.

I see Breitling is trying to get some social media influencers to promote its update SuperOcean Heritage line. That's all fine and dandy, but I can't imagine passing up a Pelagos or an Omega Aqua Terra to get one.

I've always felt like people that want a nice watch but don't LIKE nice watches get a breitling, to if you know what I mean.

I did see that the movement in them is finally in-house.

The GS gallery in Ginza is amazing. Some absolutely stunning pieces.

They had two women influencers who are in the automotive sphere (@overintherover and @mintlikescars) at some beach in Biarritz. I find it interesting because neither of those women have any kind of history with watches (or the beach, for that matter) that I know of. I wonder who they are trying to reach.

The Breitling Navitimer is one of the most iconic watches ever made and the Breitling B01 movement is pretty well regarded among the watch world. Their SuperOcean Heritage lineup is also one of their most popular watches in recent memory which up until this year had a Breitling B20 (Tudor MT5612) movement in it.

I would agree with you if you are referring to the 2000's iced out Breitling's and their large sized Bentley lineup, but today's Breitling's are a very nice watch.

I'm talking about your run of the mill dude who has a breitling but doesn't know or care whatsoever about watches. I know several men that way. It's just some old best up watch. I'm not knocking the company, just saying the types I have seen wearing them in my life.

Have your hotel make a call for you to schedule an appointment. It's not necessary but ensures they have someone with better English skills at the ready when you arrive.

We'll probably come in close to $18k minus the watch for a week. The plane tickets are the killer. We're already over $10k with business on the outbound flight only. I'm rolling the dice on a plus points upgrade on the way back to try and save another $5k.
