I think VVD probably demanded this one. Right after he resigned and TAA didn't, the rumors just kept building. We are basically the Dutch national team at this point.

I really love his fit long term with Connor Bradley. You can play them together and they form an extremely switchable pair that should be stout defensively

We kinda are turning into the Dutch national team lol, but I don't hate it so far. Frimpong has a shout for being one of best wingbacks over the past two years. I also love the literal and figurative change of pace that he brings. He's not only blindingly quick and fast, but he's a different player than Bradley. I think of Bradley as more of a slasher in basketball, where they linkup play but then dart inside to make runs in behind and shoot the ball; while Frimpong is almost an out and out winger and will get forward deliver balls.

Good interview with Mo. I thought the stuff about how Slot approached him early in the season was interesting. Neville is a good interviewer.

That deal got done so quickly that it's clear this was discussed long ago at some level. I thinking that when it was clear that TAA was out, Virgil tapped up Frimpong... likely at an international camp. I'm hoping szobo has done the same and Kerkez is imminent. One of the many advantages of signing national team captains is their gravity.

It sounds like we are ratcheting up pursuit of Kerkez now as well, which brings me to the question; how do you think Slot is planning to use Frimpong and if we get him, Kerkez? Also, I don't think Frimpong just has the starting spot because we purchased him, but the reason I ask is because Frimpong and to a lesser extent Kerkez, are very different fullbacks than he has used and used this past year. Frimpong straight up just played in a three back system, and Kerkez isn't a "put a banger cross into the box" type of guy.

Great to see FSG new screwing around and clearly had a plan for a while now (not just with TAA leaving). Curious as well how they will use both.

And how serious/realistic are we on Wirtz? Supposedly Man City dropped out and asking price is $150M or so, but reports are Liverpool are serious and he's their dream #10. Will see I guess and if Wirtz has Liverpool as his #1 spot.

I think they are serious about Wirtz. He's the perfect No. 10 for what Slot wants to do; I just think Bayern are MORE serious and will do everything possible to make sure he doesn't leave Germany. With that being said, I bet Leverkusen would love to see him not stay in the Bundesliga, but if Bayern offer 130 and Liverpool offer 115, I bet they take the 130.

The kicker here is if they do land Wirtz, you're probably sticking with Diaz and Jota and No. 9 for another year.
