Again I am sorry but get Jernigan out of there. She is not helping us at all!

It was a bad red tonight and she hasn't been consistent, but she can be really good. Not sure what makes the difference with her, but if she can figure it out, it would be great for us.

We either have to attack more the first 15-20 minutes and hope to pile on some goals, or we have to sub more liberally, or dial it back and slow the game down. We were completely out of shape in the second half. Teams will exploit that.

Legitimate post. Too often last year we left tired but experienced on the pitch late and gave up a breakaway no one could chase down. Against Baylor, two players were walking away from the throw in, heads down and gassed. Baylor took advantage and scored. Hopefully lesson learned.

207 minutes for subs in game 2 vs 152 in game 1. Completely agree that we looked gassed in the last 30 minutes against Baylor. Even last night was tough in this weather.

I don't think we can let our outside backs go the whole game without a break in this kind of heat, and letting one of our freshmen outside backs (Landherr) get some minutes there as a sub was the better look in game 2. Might even be able to do more of that if the other freshman outside back (Lavender) gets back from injury.

We also had two of our attackers play over 70 minutes in game 1, but none in game 2. And one of them from game 1 was the player who had enough left in the tank to score at the end of game 2 (on an assist from an outside back who got a 10 minute rest in the first half).

Poor body language has been a staple in a Coach G lead team these past few years. Last year against LSU the girls were arguing a call and LSU went on a break with numbers in their favor.

This team is just so out of shape and poorly conditioned. And the players with a high motor are just so inexperienced and lacking talent wise compared to the rest of the conference.

The bigger problem is when you have a coach who never takes accountability, that attitude spreads through the team. Many players walking after a turnover, not hustling for a loose ball, hands up after every foul call. I'd hoped an entirely new team wouldn't have these problems, but I guess it's just culture more than anything.

After the game he's blaming the ref for Jernigan sliding late into the player. He literally said "The ref was looking for something to even it out" those excuses are the epitome of the Aggie soccer culture

Again this was against the Lamar Cardinals of the Southland Conference who won 5 games last year and was one of the worst teams in Division 1 soccer. This year they scheduled multiple non divison 1 games to assure some wins on their schedule. Yet they almost walked away from one of the best soccer facilities in the entire NCAA and got a tie against the highest paid coach, whose salary might be more than Lamar's entire soccer budget

In this game, our goalie made one save (it was one that my 9 year-old niece, who doesn't play soccer, would have made). Soccer can be an unfair sport, often allowing the worse side to win or tie:

After whipping Pepperdine in their opener, TCU only beat UTSA 1-0 yesterday on a goal in the last 10 minutes and UTSA was picked to finish last (11th) in the always powerful American Conference, in a much more even game than ours as each team's goalie had 4 saves.

Texas was down 0-1 at half to Long Beach State (picked to finish 6th in the Big West) and ended up winning 2-1 on a goal in the last 10 minutes after being outshot 11-20 (8-12 shots on goal). This after Texas lost 2-3 in their home opener to Northwestern State, a team that went 0-3 against Power 4 teams last year being outscored in those 3 games 0-17.

Clemson beat Ohio (not Ohio State) 1-0
#12 Michigan State tied Dayton 0-0
Syracuse lost to Niagara 1-2
Miami (FL) lost to App State 0-1
Cal tied Cal State Fullerton 0-0

Our goal was pretty darn cool last night. Crazy cool to get her foot on it and make it at such a crazy angle.

We have to get better at corner kicks. Can't have that many corners and not convert one of them.

I saw Hattie had that assist? Grew up with both of her parents and saw the Baylor game. Staying for the game on the 31st.
