I like the idea, but Uruguay somehow beating Spain to win the group is probably more likely if you want Spain to be runner up.

Regardless - as US fans, we should all want chaos in that group since the winner of the group goes into the bracket of opponents we could face in R16.

The world deserves a R32 match between Argentina and Spain. The US deserves an R16 match against Austria or Uruguay.

The midfielder that is 10 yards behind him should not be playing the next match how. How do you let that dude just be that open anywhere close to your own 18 yard box.

I tend to agree. I don't think their defense looks good at all and better attacking teams will score goals. They're in a weaker group and the rest of the offense can't seem to do anything. There has been some atrocious defending that leaves Messi wide open on several of his goals that I think better defenses can clean up.

I thought it was funny that Lalas was asking Henry and Zlatan if Argentina could win without Messi and they both avoided the question.

But the kicker is that they do have Messi and as long as they do, they're gonna be favored.
