He looked off
I'm probably wrong, but I think Messi is barely a net gain (but still a net gain, so don't get me wrong). He's still clearly highly skilled, but his overall game is below the level of playing on a UCL contender in Europe. He'd be a liability there, and that's why he's not there anymore.wangus12 said:
I thought it was funny that Lalas was asking Henry and Zlatan if Argentina could win without Messi and they both avoided the question.
But the kicker is that they do have Messi and as long as they do, they're gonna be favored.

If Algeria and Austria play to a draw, both teams go through to the knockout stage. If not, the loser goes home.
Makes this match the most interesting of all group stage games.

Tons of Algeria fans here, maybe 40%. Let's hope someone tries to win this game.
Local media is calling it the disgrace of Kansas City.

I'm not sure that was a foul much less a card. He was playing the ball and got there first.

Austria has a history of this sort of thing, having colluded with West Germany to lose 1-0, a result that advanced both sides and knocked out Algeria, in 1982's Disgrace of Gijon.
At least in the 21st century the cheating is more inclusive.

There is a video of a game somewhere involving teams where each ended defending the opposite goals to prevent OGs because losing the game was more advantageous than winning. Literally each team tried to score on itself.
