Not worried. I think Ron just wants to make sure his kid lands in the best spot possible.
Pacers biggest (and only) lead was by 1 point in final 0.3 seconds. Last team to win a playoff game when their only lead was by 1 point was Spurs vs Blazers in Game 2 of 1999 Western Conference finals when Sean Elliott hit a 3 with 9 seconds left for an 86-85 win

Ron deserves some complaints for sure, but gotta love him putting that asshat Dusty Garza in his place
Working out for teams is a very specific thing that is part of the draft process. You get interviewed, you do the drills or even 1 on 1 drills with players, coaches, or even other draftees.HummingbirdSaltalamacchia said:Guitarsoup said:

In Dusty's defense, he didn't say teams brought him in for a workout. Just that he's worked out for multiple teams. Daddy Harper arguing that teams came to watch him workout is kind of an odd thing to try and take issue with.
That being said, I haven't had any issue with anything Ron has said. He hasn't said he doesn't want Dylan in SA or said anything negative that I've seen. I think some Sours fans are just being sensitive that he hasn't overwhelmingly gushed about potentially being drafted by SA.
I like how the team is built, but also... look at how they have Hali, Nembhard, Spicy P, and TJ McConnell that can all initiate the offense. I like our team building direction with Wemby, Fox, Castle, and Harper.AggieEP said:
I just moved to Bloomington for work, I'm pumped for what the Pacers have been able to do this post season. True wizardry from Carlisle to get this team in this situation.

Yeah it is crazy, but these have been happening all playoffs for them it seems.AggieEP said:
OKC made a concerted effort to take Hali out of the game, and it was pretty amazing to see Nembhard step up in the 4th and lead the team.
Once again the Pacers needed like 5 consecutive things to go right for them in order to make a miracle comeback and it happened.
Nembhard 3
Stop
Nembhard airball put back in by Siakam
Stop (actually 2 stops on this possession)
Hali Jumper to win it
And that's after Obi Toppin and Myles Turner and TJ McConnell kept them in the game with big shots in the second half. Big time team effort.
I posted it the other day, but GQ Sports asked him all his favorite books and they were all coffee table picture books.flashplayer said:

It's possible that we'll see more teams look at this model.
The LeBron super friends team and the Celtics OG big 3 kind of ushered in the thought that you could only win championships with 3 stars, but with the new CBA, it seems unlikely that anyone can really have 3 stars in their primes for very long now. 2 stars plus depth is probably the way forward if you want to win consistently.

Spurs want to cash in on that number 2 pick so more like KD & JC to San Antonio, Lauri to Phoenix, Dev, Keldon, and Barnes to Utah

Utah & SA swap picks. Phoenix gets 14!! That’s what Danny Ainge will present to Phoenix and San Antonio this summer! https://t.co/NG8IxD69S2 pic.twitter.com/pSIHEoo8Kf

Spurs trade back from 2 to 5, for KD and John Collins? Send out vassell, Keldon, Barnes and 14?
Not sure how I feel about that. Would rather have Kessler than JC

Draft athleticism metrics:
Harper pretty high up, right there with Fears.
Carter Bryant and Cedric Coward are elite. Fleming is good, around where Cooper Flagg is.
Malauch and Queen look pretty bad. I was surprised that Rocco was average, but he was 7'3 barefoot with the best standing reach in the class with his 32" vertical. I'd still take him at 38.

Where are these metrics from? I'd like to know how they're grading their athleticism.

It's based on performance at the combine, which is why you don't see the guys like Traore or Essengue on it

Essengue continue to dominate the playoffs. He might not even be an option at 14 at this point, even though I prefer Bryant.
