Pretty darn rare. Only 32 instances since 1997. That's more rare than throwing a no-hitter!

Cubs have played the strongest Strength of Schedule and are close to the top in results. Things will only get better. They are pulverizing the Brewers.

We were talking a few pages back in the pre-season about hoping PCA could take the next step.....I'm liking the odds on that!

He had 10 HR last season.....he has 8 this year on May 2nd....he is hitting them off his shoe laces!

What is the deal with Carson Kelly?

He's hitting .364 with an OBP of .500 and an OPS of 1.318 in 55 AB's.

I know he won't keep that pace all season, but dayum what a start!

Amaya playing well also.

To top that off, they have Moises Ballesteros obliterating AAA with nowhere to really play on the big league club.

agreed. However, if Assad comes back, Ben brown gets moved to the bullpen and now Chris Flexen feels like a decent option out of the pen too…

And we're all waiting for Cade Horton…

Waiting for Horton may be over with Shota's hamstring likely putting him on the IL. Horton pitched yesterday as well and is carrying a 1.24 ERA so far at Iowa. Seems like it is time to see what the kid has.

Horton looked pretty solid this past weekend. Curious how they handle him for the time being.

Also Ballasteros is coming up to the big league team now with Happ on the IL.

Really need to crush this part of the schedule, even with all the injuries.

From what my brother told me (he follows this more religiously than I do), they staff tried to speed up Shaw's swing and it ruined his timing. So they sent him back down to reset his swing to what it was and hopefully this hot streak is the result of him being back to normal.

Not a lot of great offensive production around the league at third base, if we can get plus-play there, that would be MASSIVE.
