Thank you both for the concern. They were just roughhousing as feral little boys will do. He fell and hit the back of his head on a stepping stone. It's a small gash but triangle shaped so I couldn't get it to stop bleeding. One staple and we were back on our way but watching him carefully for anything further.
One of my sons did the same. He jumped out of a tree, fell on his butt, and his head hit a landscaping stone. ER doctor was great. He was crying about getting two staples and the doctor did it so fast he just look at me like it's already over? The doc gave him the staple gun and he was all happy to have a new toy to take home.
That was 20+ years ago and now he's getting married in 3 weeks.

Yep. When the Astros passed on him at 21, I knew he wasn't passing the MLB "eye test". He still has the potential to have a great career, but it is going to take some work to get the 2025 season out of his head.

The decision to hire Easley was a gut decision. We will see whether A&M learns to up its game or continues turtling when confronted with public frustration.

10th round will likely be one to watch. That's the round when the bonus pool ends for teams and they will have a better feel for if they can spend top dollar for the remaining names.

No. There is a penalty for a team going over their allotted bonus pool money. The first 10 rounds count towards their bonus pool. Picks for rounds 11-20 are allowed up to $150,000 per pick with any amount over that counting towards their bonus pool. So if a team had a bonus pool of $10,000,000 for the first 10 rounds and used $9,000,000 to sign those 10 players, they could give someone in rounds 11-20 a $1,150,000 offer and not have any penalties.

I really want Hartshorn on the A&M squad. I think he'd be a great Jace backfill and given some years of development he might be able to improve his stock.
My guess is his bonus demand is significantly higher than slot. I would assume the drafting team knows that and either has an agreement with his agent or is expecting to pay his ask.
