The events of the first film will be referenced

ALIEN: EARTH pays tribute to the original trailer for Ridley Scott's ALIEN with a throwback-style trailer that evokes that classic 1979 spirit.

Spoiler I read today that I guess may not be spoiler tomorrow. Regarding scope of this series and not a plot spoiler: This series apparently does away with the Promotheus movies and those are not canon with this series. This series effectively re-baselines the series from this point forward

Those first two episodes were great!
(How are we handling spoilers??)
*Love the idea of various corporations in addition to Weyland-Yutani.
*Bonus points for introducing Yutani.
*Timothy Olyphant rocking Rutger Hauer's hairstyle is a different look for him.
*Alien designs were great; the little hellgrammite bloodsucker was particularly creepy & channeled some "Wrath of Kahn" vibes.
*The plant alien thing was particularly interesting.... wtf does it do?
*I think there is one more alien species that hasn't been shown?
*Main actress is Kyle Chandler's daughter & is from Dripping Springs.
Overall I give this one 8/10. Would have been 9/10 but THERE WERE SO MANY *&^$ COMMERCIALS!

I don't understand this timeline...
So Alien:Earth is based after Ripley comes back in Alien; but before/with/after Aliens...? Is that right?
That makes more sense thann the early reports that it's 30 years before the events of Alien.... which made no sense.

Does one have to have seen all the other aliens to understand this? Or at least Prometheus and Covenant?
I don't think I have ever seen Covenant, but watched Prometheus once a long time ago and have mostly forgotten it.

The timeline at this point is really irrelevant, IMO this will be addressed as the show moves on. Let the ubernerds worry about that & just enjoy it for what it is: Freaking awesome TV exploring the Alien-verse better than anything since Aliens.

So synthetics were the only ones I remember from all the other films.
Hybrids and Cyborgs are both new to this franchise, correct?
