I assumed some type of magnetism. Do they not have metal in their bodies. I'm no hybrid expert. Just figured she did bc of how strong she was holding the kids up and landing easily from that far jump off the cliff.

Here we are watching a show about competition between 3 mega corporations in the future developing varying robots while a city on earth is being overrun by hostile aliens due to a crashed spaceship and we're more concerned with the paper cutter and how it is attached.

Nope, just rewatched that scene. She gets approval to go to the wreck, goes to her room, grabs the walrus from the bed, attaches it to her belt, breaks the cutter, and sticks it to her back with no strap or magnet.

She's able to manipulate video feeds by touch and control an android remotely through a network, I don't have an issue with the fact she could magnetically stick something to her back.

On the Alien itself...is this some sort of "super alien"? I haven't watched the later movies in the franchise, but the Aliens in 1/2/3, while super deadly, could not destroy a dinner party in epic fashion, or a squad of armed troops, in literally seconds.

Yeah, I think it's a power creep over the years. It's never killed multiple people in 2 seconds like it did in that hallway. Basically looked like they were dropped in a blender.

True story - went to eat on Saturday night with the wife and daughter. On the drive into Houston from Katy along I-10, I spied a jeep with a tire mounted on its backside. The tire cover had a freaking alien on it, kinda like this poster art from Alien 3 but the alien design was more like the original version. Couldn't get a photo since I was driving.

I agree. The whole Colonial party where the Xeno killed everyone so fast that they didn't even move out of their chairs is a little much when at the same time it can't quite catch the MCs during a chase

Shazam told me that was a guitar solo called Procession which is part of the soundtrack. Confusing. Maybe they ripped off Maggot Brain and were just crediting it.

Also confusing....I don't understand how or why Wendy seems to be mentally tuned to these aliens and the xenomorph. We've got a plot twist afoot.

Most impressive paper cutter blade ever to cut through a shipping container and decapitate a xenomorph.

I mostly expected the whole season to take place on the crashed ship and building. Interesting they went back to the lab. I do like the introduction of the other hybrids with their various character beats.

Kirsh is a synth presumably made by Weyland-Yutani that now works for Prodigy. Does Weyland-Yitani have some sort of hidden code buried in itself with loyalty to Weyland-Yutani? Surely Prodigy is smart enough to override that.

What's the deal with the guy in the hazmat suit spraying down the wall?

Why is Wendy the only one who seems to be able to hear the face hugger?

Always love a good Alien autopsy.

I was thinking it didn't sound like Funkadelic, so that would make sense. I like to watch with subtitles on and it had "maggot brain" when the music started. I guess they were just crediting what they were riffing on as you said.

Yeah Wendy hearing the parasites' agitation was weird. Could be something to do with the heightened senses they gave her (but I guess not the others?). She can hear the equivalent of the aliens' dog whistle.

Maybe xenos grow in the GI because that's where the face hugger implants them? Kirsh interrupted that process via dissection so little Nemo had a find another way.
