Kind of easy to find these folks, IF someone is actually looking for them.

I remember in the early 80s when every bank in Miami was being used to launder massive amounts of drug money. (Miami Vice, anyone?) Which resulted in SARs being mandated for suspicious activity with large financial transactions.

One of the funniest scenes in Scarface was when Al Pacino's henchmen repeatedly carried duffle bags stuffed with cash into a Miami bank.

His banker was not amused after awhile.

And that crap actually happened. I know because I was practicing law back then. I was representing banks. Usied as defense but occasionally as a plaintiff. Mu late brother was a VP of a large bank during the same time and he met with the FBI far more often than he would have liked. Why? Because he knew.

Back in 1981, brother invited me for a Christmas ski trip. Watching lcal news, they showed a Sheriff with shelves of bongs behind the sheriff. I laughed about the number of bongs that were there. My brother was aghast! "How do you know those are for smoking marijuana?"

My reply? "I was in college a few years later than you were."
