Assuming the children and not born here right? I recall he wanted to revoke the birth right for those born to illegal immigrants but don't think that is going to happen.

Deport the family. The children are minors and should stay with the parents. If the anchor baby rule holds, let them come back when they are eighteen.

Love what is going on especially sealing the border, would like to see the raid leakers publicly identified and have their perp walks videotaped for future deterrence. Please Kristi ?

What does it matter what part of Mexico they were sent back to? Deep does not mean not able to come back. This guy must not know Geography. Just don't let them back in. Secure the border. It's not going to stop them from trying if they really want to
It's only 2,400 miles from the border to Guatemala. Easy days walk, two if you walk slowly.

It takes time/energy/effort/money for them to get back to the US if they put them towards the south of Mexico.

And about securing the border... It is a lot better now. So less and less will be willing to make the trip a second time.

You can't walk 2400 miles in a day. Or two days. I'm not sure if the mileage is off, or if you meant that they could drive it, but even driving 2400 miles a day isn't possible.

Did you mean 240 miles?

Check your sarcasm meter. I think it needs calibrating.

Apparently the app has access to phone GPS information? So they can basically use the app to physically find the people who used the same app to get into the country illegally.

1) Quick cross reference of all the people in the app with national criminal background checks.2
2) Identify the SIM of the phone that helped that criminal get into the US
3) Find out where that SIM is right now
4) Go pick the criminal up, or at least confiscate the phone

But why broadcast it? Just go round folks up quietly and get them out of here. There's absolutely no need to tell them how you're doing your business.

They are talking about it because it is a shaping operation. They betrayal of the government provided devices and the carrot-stick choice of self deport abd have a chance of legal reentry at some time in the future or lifetime ban is a psychological tactic.

It's obvious to me that ICE is trying to set the conditions where illegal aliens believe it's only a matter of time till they are hunted down and deported in the most inconvenient way. If they make this credible, self deportation is increasingly attractive because of the ability to have some say over the circumstances. Creating incentives for self deportation saves a lot of money and time if they can make the psychological shaping operation successful. It's all about changing the perception of illegals about their chances of being ignored or evading capture.

I don't know their odds of success but I understand why they are taking a public information campaign to encourage self deportation.

Trump has done a great job on the border. In the coming elections republican canidates need to hammer this success and hammer democrats for opposing, stopping illegal immigration.

Good summary. Broadcast it, make some of them leave on their own and also keep independents on your side by being creative and fair. The 2026 and 2028 election margins will still be slim, always be courting the independents.

Right. Our government was doing the opposite under Hussein and Biden. They were advertising in Mexico City and other places for the benefits of entering America. They were literally loading people up in other countries and bringing them here illegally. Those men are traitors to American interests.

Glad we are following the law now.

Close and personal story. My store managers husband was born in Fredericksburg to illegal parents. He graduated HS there, they married and had kids.
A few years later he gets a letter to self deport and the family does. They could not make ends meet in Mexico so wife and kids returned to states and he remained in Mx. started working there and made double digits dollars weekly.
After a short while he decided to join his family in states and crossed. Was caught and forcibly deported. This happened twice, all while trying to navigate the legalization process.
He stayed in Mx and has since been working on legalization but now he is serving basically a sentence for the two illegal entries and deportations. I think is some like 5 years for each count. He has served those and is now ready for legalization, but is stuck in waiting mode. Because of Bidens catastrophes and backlogs at the border.
I don't agree with birthright but also feel that if we financing their education that there should be a pathway for legalization.

The story doesn't make sense.
1. The husband is an US citizen (birthright citizenship) so why does he need to self deport?
2. I'm assuming his kids were also born in the states so again, why did they have to self deport unless the wife was an illegal and they self deported with her.
3. If that's the case, how did she return to the US while he remained in Mexico?
4. How is reentry into the US a crime for him, since he's a US citizen?

He should have worked on his citizenship after high school, before he got married, or before he had kids. I don't feel sorry for people that broke the law, had several years to try and get their affairs in order, especially under friendly administrations, and now pay the price.

Sorry not sorry…

Until leftists start standing up for the rule of law, this will keep happening. Unfortunately, the guy's parents knew the law and took their chances. He is paying the price. Not America's fault.
