Good. Better vetting.
This makes me a bit uncomfortable. It's a fine line to cross from monitoring immigrants to monitoring citizens. I don't want to slip into a UK style surveillance state hellscape.
You know the left will argue that the right had no problem with this now (and failing to make the distinction between non-citizens and citizens) so their surveillance should be okay too. Too many dumb Americans will fall for this. Look how bad it is on this board alone with the false equivalent cries of "but your side does it too!!!!"
They specifically state "social media posts". IANAL
I would guess that there is nothing illegal nor anything that runs afoul of The Constitution in what they are doing.
They are using public information about foreign nationals to determine whether they may become citizens or if extreme anti American or terroristic beliefs disqualify them and they should be deported.
As citizens we are not under this scrutiny and no legal action would be indicated.
If the Democratic Party leadership tries to weaponize social media posts the Federal courts and Supreme Court would slap that BS down.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”
