why wasn't changing the definition of asylum and changing how asylum claims were handled in order to let in 20 million migrants unfettered CRIMES? Being poor and wanting free stuff has never been a valid claim for asylum seekers. Almost of zero of the 20 million unvetted mass migrants were fleeing political persecution or war torn lands. Mayorkas, Biden, and their globalist handlers and overlords should be in prison.

They come here and the lawyers tell them to say they are seeking asylum for whatever will get them to stay in America. Then when their hearings come up in months or years they either no-show or their original asylum claim is ruled not able to claim asylum.

Some miniscule number of asylum claims are actually credible.

The fact that immigration judges have a union to exercise collective bargaining against the interests of taxpayers tells you everything you need to know about immigration judges. All the more reason that the 600 JAG lawyers from the military are necessary.
