Man! Tanya has been a mainstay of these boards for a really long time. She has been irritating me for over 20 years! She will truly be missed from the community.

Tanya was passionate and committed to her beliefs. She made you think even when her opinion was a polar opposite position from yours. She was principled. I probably rolled my eyes at Tanya posts more than those of any other single poster's over the years, but our viewpoints had begun converging a lot over the last decade or so.

I know she was a dedicated Aggie baseball fan, and she hated the DH. She really loved her Benny! Tanya also struggled mightily with her health in recent times, but I was glad to see her pop back up and be an active part of the community this year. It's amazing how well you come to know people online that you will never actually meet.

Rest in peace, Tanya. This Longhorn is sad to see you leave this earth, but happy you are no longer suffering.

This one hurts me. I first met Tanya back in 2002. We taught together at Somerville HS and quickly bonded together. Still kept up with her on Facebook as well.

And she is solely responsible for introducing me to Texags back in 2003

Early on in her time at TexAgs, she got doxxed, and that kept her guard up. But when I began sharing my son's journey with autism, she still reached out and was a strong and frequent supporter. If I had experienced what she did, I think I would have let the bitterness harden my heart.

Prayers for her family, especially Ben.

Knew her from Olsen all those years ago. We used to argue not about politics, but about the Designated Hitter.

I'll think of her every time I walk up to the gates for an Aggie Baseball game.

Prayers to you Benny. Be strong but don't be fearful about reaching out for help. Your Mom loved you with all her heart and will be watching over you.

That's terrible, especially leaving such a young son.

Her and I had very little in common politically, although I did see her becoming more red pilled with time.

I particularly hated her usage of the term "devil's spawn" but I agree with an earlier poster, she loved her son and did all she could to give him a good life. God bless you.

This thread is a pretty amazing tribute to Tanya. You have people from across the political spectrum from far right to far left speaking in unison. Despite the political differences, Tanya was real and always heartfelt in her words - except when she was trolling or derailing - which she could do with the best of them. She made people think. Her dedication to her son was admirable. She was well loved and respected across the board. Her posts often made me either laugh, smile, or shake my head. She will be missed.

Like the majority here, I did not personally know Tanya but feel a real sense of loss upon seeing this. Yet, I feel I DID know her & my heart is with Benny today - that's the beauty of Texas A&M/TexAgs. We are family.
