Beat all of the Grand Prix cups in Mario Kart World!

After getting it delivered at 6:30 AM yesterday, I played a solid 3 hours last night after work with the kids. Definitely has the feel of a premium console. Graphics are clean. MKW was fun. Looking forward to future exclusives.

What Mario game would y'all recommend? I haven't played one since Mario 64

MKW was not what I was expecting but I didn't know anything about it (literally zero) before I bought it. I thought the "world" aspect would be more prominent but the main menu just emphasized what we are all used to with every MK game. Thought it was strange. It's kind of cool to drive around the world.

Yeah I found it super odd that the Free Roam is only startable from that tiny map icon on the start page.

You'd think there'd be a "Free Roam" button front and center.

honestly feel a little suckered into this one. I thought it was be an amazing story mode thing while driving a cart around. Free roaming is kind of meh and only something I would do to kill time. I could have just played MK8... maybe it is the $80 that makes it hurt.

I have to agree. Though it is fun, it could have been so much more.

I wish they had done some sort of single player campaign where you slowly uncover the full map, unlock new drivers and karts, while completing missions and finding hidden secrets.

Wouldn't have been that much more work to add that in.

I mean... I got the MKW bundle, so it cost me $50. I'm fine with that to own the game. I've never been a massive MarioKart fanatic, so it's fine for me.

Bundle here too. I wish they'd have sent a game card or pre-installed it. Took delivery, now have to wait 4 hours for the download.

Think I have a defective system. Literally out of nowhere, fine one second unplayable the next, an insane input lag between controller inputs and action on the screen. Cant pick a character in MKW, any push of A or B threatens to do nothing or 8 button presses at once.

Tried restarting the console, nothing. This is happening with both the new switch 2 joy con, and I linked my pro controller to test it and same issue.

Any suggestions appreciated, but not going to lie, this is hyper disappointing and I partly just want to take it back and be done with it forever. I've had a horrible week, just wanted to play this stupid game system, and not only does it not work, it doesn't work in the most frustrating, maddening way.

Just in time for the weekend. Yay. **** this.

Nintendo sent me an invite to purchase a bundle. If you send me money I'll purchase you a switch.

I have a Switch. Just needed the pro controller.

I'm usually always wanting to get the newest console, but from everything I have seen personally, I have no desire to go out and get one. Doesn't seem like any new games came out at launch besides MK.

I hate that it doesn't have an OLED screen (future updated model/pro version I'm sure), but don't go backwards after putting out a refreshed Switch 1 with OLED.

Also, I read somewhere, and it may not be true, that if you don't use Nintendo's chargers, it could brick your console, not to mention the many other things Nintendo will brick your console for.

At this point, I don't think Switch 2 sales will come close to the Switch 1. But I could be wrong. Raising the prices of games, and now the physical copies are just keys to download the game? I know this is probably going to be more common across other gaming platforms, but come on. I miss the good ole days of trading in games for at least some kind of credit.

Does this mean when you buy a game, you can't use it on other Switch devices? Does this eliminate trade-ins altogether? If so, there is absolutely no reason to not just download it directly from the Nintendo store, unless it's on sale at a retail store.

Frankly, I'm interested to see how Cyberpunk looks/performs. No, it's not new, but if would be fun to be able to play on the go.

If you like jrpgs then the Bravely Default remaster is one to look at. Street Fighter 6 will probably be fun. Fast Fusion has gotten great reviews. Yakuza 0 would be another, if you haven't played it on another platform already.

I haven't played these yet but my buddy says both Mario 3D World and Wonder look fantastic.

And both the 2D Zeldas (LA and EOW) got pretty significant performance updates.

I have one in my cart right now and I am not sure if I want to pull the trigger.

I really like the 3D Zeldas. I like all if them but the 3Ds more and I saw they have a Switch 2 version. Is it different or does it just look more detailed?

It's a 4K, 60fps version.
