We simply don't have anyone who can or knows how to finish. There have been tons of chances. None of them great. Frankly none really good but we aren't good enough in the final 1/3 to generate good chances.

Played ok overall, but … zero points again.

We looked so much better than last season, but still gave up an incredibly soft goal. Not addressing GK and CM bit us today. Ugarte came in and dropped a 0/10, completely killing our momentum several times in the last 15 minutes

I would have preferred a lucky win as opposed to that but...I'm highly impressed.

Yes, we didn't score. But we absolutely dominated that game. Arsenal did nothing other than get a fluky goal from a set piece. Their prized midfield was completely anonymous against a midfield that had a repurposed attacking mid and CASE FREAKING MIRO. Outside of the set piece goal, Bayindir was a spectator. Our finishing wasn't sharp but Raya did make at least 2 really good saves and Dorgu hit the post.

Who knows if United can sustain this. They could be crap next week. But they absolutely dominated a team that should be challenging for the title this season. That's a massive step in the right direction even if it came with 0 points.

He was hurt for almost all of the pre-season but he's fit now. I can understand not starting him but strange he wasn't even on the bench.

Watching that replay on Cunha, that's 50/50 a PK. Not a call for VAR but it could have gone either way.

Watching the postgame. Peter Schmeichel was at Carrington on Tuesday and said that Onana had just returned back to training that day. Amorim said that he missed the whole pre-season and he's way behind the goalies who had a full pre-season. Doesn't sound like he's giving him the Hojlund treatment but it also doesn't sound like his return to the starting spot is imminent.

No points for guessing who Ljungberg thinks will win the league, but he also think that Gyokeres will win the Golden Boot.

Watching the Arsenal attack today, that feels like a big stretch

Were an I an Arsenal fan, I wouldn't worry about 10 of the 11 players who started. I would be very worried about Gyokeres.

Not because he played poorly today. But because it's insanely risky for an elite team to pin their goal scoring hopes on a 27 yr old who excelled for a dominant team in a middle tier league and who, prior to that, was playing in the Championship. That and Brighton passed on him.

It might all work out. He has a lot of talent around him. But this is a crazy step up for him and he's coming into a team with title aspirations who expect him to be the final piece. Hugely risky, IMO.

(FWIW, I'd much prefer Arsenal of the 3 teams that are talked about as potential champions)

I hate to say it, but unless Liverpool buys Isak and rides him the rest of the way (and tells Ekitike "Sorry, but not sorry"), feels like a Haaland-Salah race. Is Gyokeres even their main penalty taker? Genuinely asking, don't know. Golden Boot almost has to be a team's primary pen taker.
