I don't see how Liverpool can possibly afford Isak on top of the already stupid money they've spent this summer.

They are looking to move Diaz & Nunez (maybe others?) and plan to use that for Isak. Liverpool has added some quality this summer but they failed to add a legit #6 (Gravenburch was exposed the 2nd half of last season) and are paper thin at W (if they move Diaz) & FB. Feel like they are setting themselves up for a drop due to injury/fatigue. And while their offense (when fully healthy) will be dangerous, without a proper 6 their defense is likely to be poor with all their FBs being attacking wingbacks. I suspect they may try to shift to a 3 man back line at some point in the season, assuming they actually have enough healthy CBs (thin & old there too) to do so.

If Jesus wants to go, let him. But I can't imagine the fee we'd receive from a Brazilian club for a severely injured guy would move the financial needle for us. Unless we need the roster spot, and I haven't counted, I feel like you might as well keep him around. But maybe I'll be surprised.

I would imagine its far more about freeing up salary and a roster spot. He's currently our 2nd highest earner and isn't gonna get any game time once he does get back.

I agree, it might be just her whatever we can, even if it's 5-10M, but get rid of the wages and roster spot. Brazil has been rumored but I would think you could get that deal in Portugal, Spain, Italy, etc.

I think it really helps that he is already a big kid. I saw 6 ft tall somewhere. That'll help in the ability to handle the physicality of the league at that age.

I'm really curious what role is in his future. I think he primarily play AM in the academy. He's looked phenomenal as a W. I've also seen suggestions that he could be a future 9. I could definitely see a little Henry/Bergkamp kind of magic in him.

Calafiori did apparently train today so hopefully thats a good sign that whatever the thing he felt on Sunday was precautionary

He looked fine when we was leaving the field. 100% think he felt a little something and just took himself off because it was preseason.

Plattenberg is decently reliable with German-related news, but not sure where he'd be scooping two offers from Premier League clubs other than Trossard's agent feeding him that to build a market, so who knows if that is accurate.

Dortmund does seem about right for Trossard. Champions League football and a need on the left wing.

Now the VG is in, its definitely time to focus on moving some of the deadwood out.

Trossard isn't that, but if we are wanting to bring another attacker in, it does feel like someone valuable is gonna have to go and he's probably the best one to move.

Also need to look at getting Nelson, Vieira and Lokonga out as well. They simply don't have roles to play here. Fulham sounds like they may take Nelson from us which would be good. He was having a good year there before his injury. I'd personally offer Sambi and Fabio up for 8-10m each. You aren't gonna get much more for them.

Nelson to Fulham seems inevitable. Last I heard was loan with an option/obligation.

Saw this morning that Porto are talking about bringing Fabio back permanently. Not heard a ton outside of that and Parma (new HC is a former asst) wanting him but not being able to afford his fee. Honestly think we should consider loaning him again if the fee isn't right. If Parma is still interested, the Italian league would be a strong spot for him and a chance that one of the bigger clubs take notice and are willing to pay 20m next summer.

Think we will have a hard time moving Sambi. He did ok at Sevilla but they had a cheap (under 10m) option and they declined. Think he is likely one of those guys that we loan until his deal expires.

I'd be ok keeping Trossard but given his age and his desire to start, I think the smart move would be to sell him now.

The other big ones are OZ & Hein. I've heard murmurs of interest in OZ from AC Milan & mid level EPL squads but nothing significant yet. Not heard anything on Hein but he isn't in the plan and as an academy player anything he brings in will be a nice PSR boost.
