I'm am so exited

It looks like the online store opens up at 3 am. I'm not sure I'm willing to wake up that early for a jersey so hopefully there is still stock left a few hours later.

It's so beautiful….and available.

I ordered a long sleeve red kit. I don't love all of the black in the away kit and the training gear. I was hoping the green kit would be available today.

In other news it looks like Liverpool made a formal bid for Isak…and it was rejected. Have a feeling this will drag out a while.

With the new Adidas partnership launching today, they also announced new kit numbers for next season. Of note:

The white kit is absolute heat. I like them all, especially the way they look long sleeved, but the white kit is a masterpiece. I also love how simple they are. Last year and a few other years Nike just got too wild and off the wall.

I think we end up somewhere around 140 million for Isak, but, Newcastle aren't going to let him go unless they have a replacement of some kind for him.

I don't love any of them, but it's funny how I have fond memories of most of them. The only one of those red ones that I ever really cared for was the 23/24 with the white crew collar just because it was clean. I liked last year's white one but never could get past the dumb vertical swoosh. The black third one from the first year was really good.

Kinda funny when I look at so many of those and the first player I see in a lot of them is Diogo. The McDonald's one, the camo teal one, the red one with orange highlights, the dark green one and the red one with the dumb collar from the first year. All of them I just see Diogo wesring it.

Literally thought the same thing. Diogo in the McDonald's uniforms, which tbh I quite like. They were off the wall and kinda bat **** from a color perspective, but if you take the badge off of them I think they are objectively a good uniform. Fun color, checkered collar etc. Can see Diogo in each of them as he was one of the most charismatic guys in every single one.

The part of the release video with them sitting around the table was great. Current guys with Rushie with the milk, Barnes, Groblear, Carra. Surprised they didn't have Stevie as I associate him 100 percent with addidas.

Don't know what that means for Rio, but don't love it. Nyoni probably on that list primarily because he wanted 42 and no one is taking that number whether he's on the team or not.

I think Newcastle sees the writing on the wall that Sesko will not being coming and they cannot sell Isak and not replace him with a big time striker. Unfortunate. This could get UGLY between Isak and Newcastle. Isak is peak prime and wanted this move to happen.

I'd agree with that. I also liked tge 2nd away. The off white one with the green collar.

I have no memory of that third home one. Maybe it's just a bad shot of it.

Nyoni playing pretty well as a make shift centerback. He basically looks like Grav playing in that role. Seems like he will probably end up being our 3rd choice DM behind Grav and Macca.

Idk how you can say that Rio and Nyoni aren't at least first team bench/rotation players this year.

Curtis Jones has had a nice game. I will take he and Nyoni as our 5th and 6th midfield options.

Is this Pescis first appearance? He has looked very comfortable and Woodman continues to look solid.

Just need to add a CB or two, but overall squad depth looks good.

Second game was really fun as well. The 1st team attack has some serious speed and skill. I really liked what I saw from all the new acquisitions. Frimpong was lightning fast, Kerkez was a rock defensively, Hugo showed a great hold up/link up game, and Mamardashvili made some great saves. One could argue Wirtz looked the worst of the new signings due to a few misplaced touches, but he was still really good. I'm ready for the Shield!

Szoboszlai also looked like an animal playing in a deeper midfield role. Some work to do on playing against pressure from the back, but everything else was awesome.

Gravenberch also looked excellent. Truly an embarrassment of riches in the attack and midfield.

The added pace yesterday was really great to see. I thought we looked slow in a few games last year, most notably against PSG. We just couldn't keep up with them.

Some things I have my eye on to start the season: defending set pieces and playing out of the back. We haven't seen a full strength defense yet, but set piece defense was a challenge last year too. The one area you could critique Slot on.

Kerkez, Frimpong, Marma are probably all a little less comfortable receiving the ball and playing out from the back than players they are replacing. I think they will adjust, but something to watch with certain lineups.

Really fun to watch on attack. The new signings are really starting to get in rhythm. The movement is excellent and the energy was much higher yesterday. We're definitely going to leak some goals though! Gakpo could have a monster year. Defenses have to overload our right side because of Frimpong/Salah which frees up Cody quite a bit. Slot's biggest decision is in midfield and who the odd man out is.

I think leaking some goals is just the nature of modern football. Everyone, including Arsenal, Man City, PSG, Barcelona etc. wants to possess the ball entirely in the opposing teams half of the field, but with that comes the ability to get beat on the counter because everyone except maybe three guys is around the opposing teams 18 yard box more or less.

Tyler Morton joins Lyon for ~15M GBP. The academy graduate joins the French side in playing Ligue 1 (after winning their appeal following a demotion to Ligue 2) this season. Good piece of business for Liverpool. Nyoni must really be making an impression on Slot.
