I think it's strictly just his size and athleticism, and the fact that to play up front in a lot of modern systems, ESPECIALLY in the premier league, it really helps to either be big, strong, or fast, or all three. Elliott really isn't any of those.

Luis Diaz thinks he is better than he is. His agent, dad, whoever it was in his camp, has been touting his services to Barcelona and PSG for like over a year. Now that Barcelona look set to sign Nico Williams and PSG signed Kvaratskhelia, no other team will be able to afford him so he is backtracking and now acting like Liverpool is the bad guy in this situation putting things like "Liverpool's interest in extending Diaz's contract have disappeared". I wouldn't mind selling and giving his no. 7 shirt to Wirtz.

Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen officially official for 35M GBP. I can't find anything that says we inserted a buy-back clause so it looks like a straight up sale.

Rumors are that we are asking for 30M for Elliott with buy-back clause included or 40M with no buy-back clause. I really hope that if we do sell him, we have a buy-back clause active for 3 years. I still think he could be the RW of our future once Salah does indeed leave/hang it up.

The reliable Liverpool reporters are also saying that Liverpool have rebuffed any advances from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz (the rebuffed Barcelona earlier in the summer) and that he is not for sale at any price. His contract runs through 2027, I believe. So I think they will make a decision on him next summer.

Konate, on the other hand, has rejected another Liverpool contract extension within the last few weeks. So no idea what they are going to do there. Would hate to lose yet another 60M+ defender for free next summer after TAA.
