To be fair… after they brought Downs in, we had two 9's and two 10's on the field (and both playing wide for who the hell knows why). This was on the coach more than the players, I think.

Neither of the fullbacks really. This was both of their first real challenging games for the NT right?

Fox hyping up the mexican crowd of course. And of course you knew it'd be huge. But this is a much larger issue with US Soccer.

The hype machine has been on blast for 20 years to get the common fan interested and the team has never broken through to anything seriously challenging on the world stage. The WC is coming to the US and the key people you need to help bring the hype to a tournament like this to deserve fan support felt it was beneath them.

What has happened to go from begging on hands and knees to care about you for years to being too good for it.

Oh well. Thanks to the guys that showed up.

And those of you all buthurt over this result probably brace yourself for more disappointment next year, I don't think either squad is any good.

He was like 4th or 5th in line, and the other guys around his level have had their chance and arent better options.
The players in front of him didnt come in for one reason or another.

I can't tell which is worse, Lalas in that hat, or Donovan's hair.

They passed it to an attacking mid (Tilman), who then passed it back too McGlynn to serve in. It should have advanced the ball up 5-10 yards with a better angle and the defense a little unsettled.
THe execution was off but the play itself is not bad.

Yup in recent years the focus is on Nations League, but this more of C/D level club than B/C in the past. We really needed this to be an A level squad to gel with Poch, but USSF wasted 2 years by rehiring GGG.
