Fully agree. It's time. Hell, it's been time.

Keep umps out there for human based decisions and control of course but balls and strikes and maybe even check swings can be handled via tech now.

Is tech perfect? No. But neither is human and at least tech can be improved over time and overruled if needed. Humans can't, or won't. And that kills me. I know why they protect the umps. They are an extension of themselves and The Brand. Still bothers me to no end. We can hem and haw about ump accountability to the masses. It will never, ever happen.

I umpired HS for 12 years and agree that technology would be good for strike calls, but you still need an umpire behind the plate to make other calls, such as fair/foul and safe/out, as well as handling administrative duties of pitching and batter changes, replacing out of play baseballs, putting the ball back into play, cleaning the plate, etc.

No one is disputing LSU pitching here. Arky got through it, had a lead and only needed 3 outs and weird things started happening. That is the point! LSU good, but things seem to happen to help them out.

Arkie forcing the if necessary game would have been HUGE. LSU likely would have pitched Anderson which means that it's Eyanson, ???, Anderson on short rest vs Coastal in the finals.

F'ing pigs can't even fail right.
