The reality is I expect more restraint out of an umpire because there's basically nothing between a warning and tossing somebody in baseball. Like it or not, the rules on these things change when you're talking about the playoffs and especially the championship. This isn't some non-conference tuneup game in February. It's more important, more emotionally charged, and a much bigger stage. I get you're going with the "coach has to be be controlled" deal, but you're also talking about a situation where this game means a hell of a lot more to the coach than the umpire. Frankly, that was a quick trigger in a conference game. It's absurd here.

Show me in the rule book where the rules change for the playoffs, I must have missed that.

All I expect is for am up to be consistent from the start of the season till the end. And, in everyone's arguing about this ump, you're missing the forest for the trees. I'll give you a hint, we have fantastic posters on here that can tell you which hair the umpires part which way.

Short fuse and one of the worst calls in world series history. Needs to find another profession.
