When Hollywood starts getting on their preachy hypocritical soap box though, some of us are going to call it out. Remember, you're super saturated and probably numb to it all being in West Hollywood or Studio City or wherever you might be.
Answer this.
And answer it honestly. As a non-lib, you should be capable of having rational and honest discussion.
Did you watch the telecast? And if you did, did you watch because you cared about what some California voters thought were the best achievements in film this year, or did you just rub your hands together looking for something to fight about on the internet?
If you did watch the telecast, did you actually see anything particularly egregious? If so, what was it?
I watched a little bit as we kept checking to see when the performance of "Golden" by the Kpop DH girls would start, for my little one. Within a minite of first turning it on, I saw Javier Bardem and his fake "check the box" "free palestine - no war" statement. Next time I tuned in, for a min or two, it was the KPOP DH acceptance speech where they were rudely cutoff.
But I saw several clips floating around yesterday of preachy libs on their soapboxes...that's usually where I get my Oscars content. One weirdo who looked like Napoleon Dynamite went on a pretty long nonsensical political rant. I can't wait for Mel Gibson, or some other non-leftist actor who feels like they have nothing to lose, to get up there and really call the whole room of Hunger Games hypocrites out....for the trash they leave behind for "the help" to clean up, to the insanely large carbon footprints, to their refusal to open their gates communities to unvetted third world migrants etc etc. One day it's gonna happen!
