It's also ironic that these senior appointed idiots believe that "independent" means "accountable to nobody that is elected." Independent agencies are independent only in the sense that they do not report through a cabinet secretary of a department. That means that instead of the President telling a cabinet secretary to fire you, he can simply direct it himself or have OPM deliver the message. Self important bureaucrats like this guy need to be the oldest barista at Starbucks or the junior greeter at Walmart.
