If they aren't being paid under the table and are working for an employer that is trying to maintain the facade of legitimacy, the illegals buy one of those ~66 million excess SSNs that the IRS allowed to exist (for exactly this reason) and run it through e-Verify. Then they fill out a W-4 and claim a bunch of exemptions to minimize withholding. SSA bureaucrats don't care that illegals are paying FICA taxes because it helps them hide the seriousness of the depleted Sociall Security Trust Fund.

I know, it's just shocking that such upstanding foreign citizens would abuse the system and flout our laws in this way.

right but my quesiton is they are using something like turbo tax and submitting a return in March like they rest of us? Not sure that would be too smart.
