So basically, leftists have been stealing our tax dollars and sending them around the world to fund socialism and needless wars for the past several decades.

Just awesome.

Call your congress critter and demand that it stay shut down. Right now, congress seems to be inclined to keep funding things even after DOGE showed the waste and fraud going on.

Just caught up on this thread. I would say it's beyond belief, but reality and recent revelations have rendered it as not important news of the day. That's okay, just keep shredding their whole wicked, treasonous infrastructure.

The rest:
Quote:

Better yet: it's also been a major way corrupt politicians and Washington DC bureaucrats have been stealing it. Including US Senators and US Congressmen - this is how in a nutshell:

they form an NGO, obtain US govt. funding, put in place their wives, relatives or close friends. Those then get big annual salaries, think in the millions of dollars! Or payout to "subcontractors"....which in some way they are tied to.

Bonus: NGO's have also been funding liberal communist campaigns, and Antifi (don't hear much from them any longer do we? And foreign governments, and offshore bank accounts.

This one Executive Order is going to shut down tons of liberals, liberal organizations, because they are not doing true non-profit type work - but either stealing the money or using it for political purposes to harm our country.

Expose them all!

Financial audits of these NGO's are good to great, though the real work of tracing their sub-grants to other NGO's is what needs to be publicized. CEPPS, NRI, NED, all are just the tip of the iceberg. The top 1,000 and all of their officers, who receive more than $50 million and 90 percent via federal funds should all be investigated as a national security priority. Including family members of board members with zero direct compensation.

Also, note this feckless duplicity within the past 10 years from USAID. To undermine an elected leader who was not a leftist.

It is infuriating that these NGOs were getting money and not even being required to have an annual audit to prove the funds were being spent as intended. Ask any community college or university and they are audited every year over federal grant money. I guarantee you if the accounting is off on even one account, it triggers further investigation and any improperly funded grant money has to be repaid to the penny - with interest.

The corruption being discovered in DC with these NGOs is stunning. I never understood how a center right country could keep electing left wing presidents. We were getting scammed with our own money. It all makes sense now.

Congress needs to write that into law, any entity that receives gov't grant needs to provide financial statements and be subject to regular auditing of their finances.

All government contracts and grants CAN be audited. We need a law that all grants SHALL be audited annually. The problem is when the NGOs hire the inspector general's wife, brother, son, daughter in law, etc to overpaid do nothing positions, the IG has very little incentive to find anything that will slow down the family gravy train.

The CIA-Blackrock-USAID-NGO-Nato nexus should not be forgotten.

The threats are still quite real. As is their lobbying, not just lawfare: US Global Leadership Corporation:

And anything that got sub-grants, or 'donor-advised-funds' via USAID should be audited asap:

Why didn't they teach us at A&M while we were studying things like engineering or business to get stuffy corporate jobs that we could have made millions at non-governmental not-for-profit orgs instead?

This appears to be the significant loophole to the greatness of the American system. Campaign finance, congressional term limits, NGO's, USAID, and big business. They have the combined ability to circumvent just about any obstacle in place. Is the near term solution to remove third party influence on elections and appointments? Sounds good, but I doubt that is feasible. It will take something equally or more drastic to take the country back.

**term limits is a significant lynch pin in that it prevents the third parties from having to reinvest. Once they have their claws in a judge / congressman it's over and, in many cases, there is a 30+ year pay off.

Unbelievable. Just when I think my outrage tank is empty, I see something else like this to tick me off. I think of all the money I've paid in federal taxes over decades and know that probably half for more when to fund anti-American entities like this that have been used against our Republic, and it makes me literally sick to my stomach.

If Trump accomplishes nothing else during his presidency, he has to eliminate this corrupt NGO spending and the programs/organizations it has supported for good. People have to go to prison, or we deserved everything we got and will continue to get. Ignorance and lack of will to address this is no longer an excuse.

Caution, Russian source so take it for what it is but interesting if true: Ukraine USAID.
Quote:

Most USAID programs have been shut down in the country, with only a handful set to continue beyond 2025, according to data reviewed by RT.

For years, Ukrainian NGOs and nonprofits were heavily dependent on USAID grants and contracts, reportedly turning the country into a money laundering hub for Washington.

Vladimir Vasilyev, chief research fellow at the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute for US and Canadian Studies, told RT that the financial flows, including from Ukraine, eventually returned to the US.
According to him, USAID was a "black fund for supporting American non-profits linked to the Democratic Party."

"It was a sacred cow of the State Department that for a long time nobody dared to audit."

Upon taking office, US President Donald Trump ordered the freeze of most foreign aid to review whether the programs fit his 'America First' agenda. Tens of billions in grants have since been put on hold, with the president accusing the agency of misusing taxpayer money and fueling corruption.

In Ukraine alone, where more than $400 billion had once been earmarked for reconstruction, over a hundred projects have already been scrapped. Only 30 USAID initiatives have been preserved, but most are set to expire in 2025, the data shows.

A scandal erupted earlier this year over billions of USAID dollars lost in Ukraine. The agency's inspector general, auditing firm KPMG, and US prosecutors have launched probes into suspected fraud, bribery, and embezzlement in Ukrainian projects, with more than 20 cases already opened.

In any case, September 2nd is the magic date coming up, which I intend to celebrate.

Reagan's greatest mistake, John Bolton, had his home and office raided today by the FBI.

He got his start really as the USAID administrator.

Quote:

Bolton's actual foreign policy stance is a weird, and IMO, disturbing one. Reagan's interventionism was rooted in a genuine belief that people would reject Communism.

Bolton's own interventionism was extremely hardline and cynical. He saw the United States *as* the United Nations in and of itself -- the iron fist of the world.

Though not a democrat, he was largely a reflection of USAID's pro-conflict/war policies and objectives. One of both Trump's, and Reagan alike biggest mistakes. More at the thread and thread reader Links.

Bolton somehow ingratiated himself to conservatives despite being the biggest war hawk imaginable. Then he got rooted out and wrote a book about being part of Trump's inner circle while also opposing him at every turn (since you'd never get a book deal if you didn't tell am anti-Trump story).

He's a good candidate for throwing under the jail to show "Republicans" (he's not actually) are just as guilty of these USAID shenanigans.
