SJL's daughter has officially exited the race before it really began.
So I guess Rodney has his candidate; wonder who it is.
On a somewhat related note, Marilyn Burgess, Harris County District Clerk has decided not to seek reelection, after Commissioners Court refused to consider her requested pay raise from $179,000 to $260,000. That was after voting for herself to receive a raise to $295,000 as a member of the Grievance Committee, but was opposed by the committee and the budget director.
Guess she forgot to ask Rodney's permission first.

Rodney Ellis' chief of staff is the one that always blows my mind and pisses me off the most. A guy w/ zero experience in public administration or local government, working for the county commissioner w/ the least responsibility for infrastructure, planning, or community services in incorporated Harris County - is making over $400k a year.

If I could get paid that much for an easy as hell job, I'd switch over to county gov't immediately.......
No, who am I kidding, I'd be embarrassed. Despite my play time here, I work hard and earn my keep.

Ellis now indirectly lecturing Lina over "public spats".
As related to the bond rating. Bickering does impact ratings.
Lina and Briones bickering at each other. Lina is a lightweight when dealing with Briones. Last 10 minutes or so getting heated.
Lina stuck in a loop now regarding associate judges, funded by ARPA funds, as those funds dry up there's no backup funding. And hilariously Lina is challenging Briones bonifdes.
Shes such an embarrassment....and at the tail end, back to early childhood projects and just rambling back again to flood control projects.
Budget passes 3-2
Raises for constibkes and others, passes 4-1
Payscales: 4-1
And back to her ranting about an audit, judges, school i sections, cutting funding for a list of mumbling.
Hearing for Public Health Budget. Passes 4-1 (Ramsey desents)
And she says she has a pressing engagement in Washington DC. Does not return from Executive Session.
As Ellis wrap up, Garcia is standing up and away from the mic and says "Hallelujah".

I'm wondering when she'll realize her antics are burning any future opportunities except with possibly the most rabid left wing groups.Sea Speed said:

I'm personally hoping that sometime in that 15-month period she goes even further down the crazy path and starts releasing correspondence between her and the other members (or staffs) where they colluded to take certain actions. Basically like the scene in Old School where the student body president claims she held up her side of the deal and now the dean is still screwing her over.
Come on Lina, burn it to the ground.

Says over $5B in projects will be done. 3-5 years to get them bid

I want to see her take down Ellis and his machine.
