She is missing one qualification that Sly and SheJack had that got them votes.
If she intended to run again she would have already announced. When you're the incumbent, you file on day one when the filing period opens, and hope you scare off any opponents.Ryan the Temp said:A friend who works for one of the commissioners said the general consensus is she will not seek re-election.AlaskanAg99 said:
Apparently she will make The Announcement in a few weeks if she intends to run again.
My money is on she will decline since she is being primaried and for "mental health" reasons.

She must have a private sector gig lined up because she seems like she has a serious substance abuse issue and someone has to fund that.
I can't imagine she can handle a real job. All this "I have to go mid day to my group therapy session" is a bad sign.
I don't know where she lives but I wonder if she will run for SheJack/Sly's seat. It's stupidly safe for a Democrat so she just has to win the primary. Of course that's a problem there if the wrong people.
My guess is that she's shopping. Some cush "progressive" non-profit that will pay her right without being too demanding.Quote:

She spent four years shopping for a gig in the Biden administration and they never took her up on that. I think she'll bale out for the right price and something she can spin as an elevation.
Harris County government is a flood of waste, fraud, and abuse. It's time to rally.https://t.co/lWRs2L3OeH

No. She replaced her mother for something like 51 days.AgLiving06 said:Ryan the Temp said:

Didn't she lose the race to replace her mother?

Plummer announced her bid for county judge Tuesday. This chief executive oversees the nation's third-largest county. If elected, she would be the second woman, the first Black person and the first Muslim to hold office.
Plummer aims to run as a progressive, "forward-thinking" candidate, keeping away from centrist tendencies.
"I know we use that word often, haphazardly, but it's a mindset of what is this county going to look like in 10 years? What are we going to leave for our future?" Plummer told Chron.

Plummer is running with the understanding that this election will be for an open seat, but said she couldn't speak for Hidalgo and would let her address her plans.

According to my political & local knowledge mentors on r/houston, Plummer is the best progressive option if our beloved Lina disappoints us by walking away from all the unfair criticism she receives.
