Her trip was funded through the Judge's office budget. However, she can't use those funds to pay for staff. Which is why she asked court for additional $$$.

The notion anyone would fly to France to confront her, vs here at home, is beyond ridiculous.

And from the "Sheet You Just Can't Make Up Department" - she also was bellyaching that if her staffers had to pay their own way - wait for it - they'd also have to use VACATION TIME for the trip since they weren't "technically" travelling on county business.

Court is on Now and they're taking public comments and being lit up by the rich and the poor over the 2.5B flood bond.

When the bond was passed under the old Court the decision was made to reduce the losses in high value neighborhoods first because that would reduce the financial burden on FEMA.

The new Court changed the priority to neglected and undeserved areas. The change in priority ground a lot to a halt as Flood Control had to design projects in. Ew areas. Then of course they get screamed at by the commissioners for being slow.

Now the issue is the 2.5B bond cannot cover all of the projects. So they're going to ask for Another bond.

Now Dora is explaining that there wasn't a committee to award projects. But, she's dumb as a rock, as the Court was who was deciding which projects moved forward. And she said the committee was formed last year when she's been County Judge since Jan 2019. So it took her 4 years to make a decision and she's blaming Flood Control and Engineering. Who of course work for her.

Don't even care if Dora demands a lavish apartment in Dome 2.0 like Roy Hofheinz. Imagine hosting Shakira and Taylor Swift in something like this.

Dora's Dome Apartment; a concession Houstonians should be willing to make.

Sick and tired of wasting money on pipe-dreams like 'fighting covid,' and 'preventing a swamp from flooding,'

Houston must return to reality with Dome 2.0 and Oiler blue cop cars.
