It was a good crowd every night, but never got too rowdy, at least in front of my tent. Another great cookoff in the books.

Has anyone ever booked a car service for the ride home from the Rodeo? Good experience? I am looking at $200 to Kingwood which feels right. Never uber'd home either so this would be a first.

Uber will make you pay a high surcharge for picking up at the rodeo. You're better off taking the train into downtown and grabbing an Uber there for a normal rate.
If you have UberOne it has surge protection. Saved me $100 with a there and back to my house in the Heights on Saturday and another $40 from the airport Thursday night when all the cheerleaders were flying in.
Hell, even just getting it for a trial if it's offered would cover it. Think it's $120/yr. Some credit cards offer a full or partial credit for UberOne also

Best option is to park somewhere north of Reliant Arena on the red line light rail and take the light rail in. Its a madhouse of traffic getting off 610, getting stuck at the redlight on fannin, parking, getting on the lightrail for one stop, exiting, getting stuck in traffic again.
Caveat emptor, I don't know the red light rail line's service times going north during rodeo season for trying to catch the last train out.

It depends on which direction you are coming from, but Astroworld is pretty easy for getting in and out of if you don't have a parking pass.

610 lot as in the old astroworld lot or 610/Vraeswood metro park and ride?
The Astroworld lot is a PIA. If it was like cookoff, everybody is going into one entrance off belfort and that can be around 45 min stuck on the roads around the lot.
I would park at the 610 Braeswood park and ride and pay $7 for round trip on the metro bus.

Is the schedule of rodeo events always the same? Taking my family today and they want to see the bulls but no way they can sit through 2.5 hours. I was planning on rolling in about 4 to see the last few events before the concert.

Yes, the event lineup is the same. I'd plan on getting on the grounds early though to beat traffic since this show will have one of the biggest crowds this year. Never heard of this kid, but is apparently very popular.
Yeah heading that way soon. Hope the weather keeps some folks home but I heard he was the biggest draw this season. My kids love him.
Yep we are about to head that way for the same reason. I am pretty pumped as well as all 3 of my kids. FF is going to be a lot of fun.
