Probably both. Brooks is a much more consistent player now than 5 years ago.

Why are they suing the USSF for unequal payouts of WC prize money governed by FIFA? This is just disgusting and those players need to just shut up and play.

When you can beat the U-17 boys team, let alone the full USMNT, then we can talk about equal prize money.

Or would the largest hurdle be the problematic contact signed by the players? The 'unfair' prize money payouts have been well known for decades now.
Frankly unfair? The men's World Cup is probably the greatest money generator in sports in the world and the women's World Cup is probably nowhere close to it.

USWNT will debut this kit tonight in Austin. MNT related because they'll be wearing it this fall. Not my favorite, but far from the worst Nike has put together.

I love how they manage to make it look like they ran out of material and had to tack on the bottom half of every shirt while not being able to get the pattern to match back up.

I like these more than several of the other recent kits.

But give me the waldos and the sash dammit! This is not a problem that needs to be solved.

I think they're cool from the mid-chest up when on and when viewed from the front. The lower half and back make no sense but of course we don't see those in the video.

I don't dislike the whites (and those seem to be the one kit we've kept pretty consistent over the years), to me the sash is just an easily identifiable and unique look that we could own on the world stage.

It's also got a very cool historical reference point to it.

Spoken like someone who has never seen the Gold Cups.

For everyone who loves the Centennials, myself included: Isn't the current home design pretty close to an updated Centennial?

Peraonally, I'm iffy on the new Away but I might get one with Lavelle on the back. I'm hoping against hope that Nike and US Soccer will come to their senses and give us updated Waldos for the World Cup next year. Maybe that's what they were trying in 2018 but frankly missed the mark - and our failure to qualify kept me from ever embracing those designs, sadly.

I disagree, but they have both had unique home jerseys recently - only the Women had their 2019 World Cup home jerseys (I'm wearing one now), and only the Men had the Gold Cups (a shame, because they're in our all-time top three best kits).

I thought the new kits looked terrible in photos today, but I have to say that they look pretty good in action tonight. I still don't understand the horizontal break in the middle, but it works from a distance on TV.

We're talking about an organization (USSF) that can't even get the rights to sell jerseys with player names on them and if you try to customize it, Nike will cancel your order if name/number is identical

I kind of think maybe they thought the 2018 jersey was a reimagining of the Waldos. The 2017 Gold Cups were red and blue hoops rather than red and white. Pretty sure people there know people want Waldo 2.0. Seems to me it's easy money, and 2022 would be an ideal year. Or 2023, the women wore the Waldos as well.

I just want the Waldos with the new crest and remove the sublimated sash (lotta people don't even know it was there). I said on Reddit, I would love to see us treat the Waldos like Argentina treats their home kit: Evergreen, with little changes every year or two. Then you can go crazy with second and third kits.

It's still bizarre that the Gold Cups were such a limited edition. Top 3 jersey in US history.

Top 3 Teams automatically qualify and 4th place team goes to 2 legged playoff.

We need to be 1st or 2nd before the 3 game March set. Hopefully we don't need points at all before those three games.

I think part of it would also be either the designer, or the project manager, not wanting to just use a design someone else created. Everyone wants to be recognized as a creative genius.

That first set of 3 games is huge, 2 tough venues to play at (mentally) and Canada at home. I would like to have 6+ points if possible, I would be ok with 4-5. 3 would technically be ok, but it would put us on the back foot going forward.

Historically, if you can hold serve at home and tie on the road, you qualify from what I remember.
