it's so strange not having to view the CL hardware as the biggest potential win on the season. I still badly want it, but so nice to be sitting where we're at for the league title, unlike way too many past seasons of late. let's get both though!

Curious for those that watched or know Arsenal.. How does William Saliba have 53 passes in the first half then only 11 in the second half? I realize the possession went from 68% arsenal in first half down to 36% in second half, but 11 passes? Did they switch something in the back?

I would have to rewatch the second half but it seemed he was pretty quiet. I can't say if it was something different Atleti did tactically or what. Seemed Big Gabi was much more prominent in terms of defending and duels.

Couple of things jumped out at me.

1. VG gives Arsenal a will to take on tough physical battles which is something it has not had. The guy runs his tail off and physically posts up opponents and forces them to work really hard to get touches. He's a bit of a menace and I love it. He is not a great striker but there are things he can do to help Arsenal.

2. As much as I have doubted Ben White he did a pretty good job in this match. Was not perfect but it was mature and smart.

3.MLS…kudos to Arteta for seeing what he could do and getting him into a different role. With all the injuries I didn't think he would turn to MLS and get this type of production.

glad to see vik get some much deserved credit. dude has been mauled all season and drawn very few cards, and just continues to fight through it. he has some off games, but overall a great pickup and locker room guy

Honestly yes you can call it a big miss but it is not like that was a tap in. Given the height of the ball it was going to be really tough to keep the shot down.

Bayern getting screwed. PSG have 2 CL handballs (one in the box) in under 10 min. Both were waived with PSG receiving a freekick for their troubles.
