Wharton and Anderson are the two guys and only choices imo. They fit the mold of when Liverpool buy guys, but they are also home grown which we need in a massive way. They are however, two quite different players. A bit of what I talked about in my original post tbh.
Wharton is sit back CDM that excels in advancing the ball with his left foot. He can break lines by going over and through them. He's also very press resistant and very good winning the ball back.
Anderson on the other hand is an energetic No. 6 that plugs up gaps, runs hard all over the field and will find himself in the box more often.
I think they are both exceptional players, and I have been an Anderson guy for most of this season, but the more I see what I think we need the more I lean towards Wharton being a better player for Liverpool.
