our susceptibility on counter attacks, which Aussies proved very good at with #9 and #17 last week, was going to be an issue with or without CP. Our ability to break down the very well organized back line of the Aussies without CP is going to be a great challenge for the other players to step up, create, and FINISH.

I mean even months of preparation and planning. He just gets attacked so much in games, you have to be ready for the eventuality he can't go for one game

Once Aussie got a lead with the first goal, Turkiye was unable to create many corners or dangerous set piece opportunities against them, they were unable to successfully get any crosses into the box or across the face of goal, and their longer more ambitious shots were all blocked. I think the answer is aggressively playing direct and trying to create runners onto goal. USA did well in the 1st half vs Paraguay in that regard-- with Pulisic on the pitch. Can we do it without him and when the opponent is expecting and preparing for it?

Lineup is Pepi replacing Pulisic. I guess Pepi can play on the left, but I guess there's also the possibility that this is more of a 4-4-2 with McKennie on the left.

Pepi is IN. That's what I was hoping for.

Will be interesting to see how we change formation/tactics.
