I'd still expect the Aussies to sit back and play the counter. But our creativity and pace just took a big hit

Turkyie's wingers couldn't create crosses and going deep and wide vs Aussie defense didn't work for them. We will have two #9 on the pitch both with good hold up play and good at combining in tight space as well as striking, so we can play more direct onto goal.
4-4-2

For sure Poch and staff have gameplanned what lineups to run out without Pulisic.
they've been training all week without him. We'll find out very soon when lineups are announced.
I mean even months of preparation and planning. He just gets attacked so much in games, you have to be ready for the eventuality he can't go for one game

I think they better have. Its clear that the injury is worse than what they said last week. Last week it was "precautionary" and he could have continued playing. This week, he isn't even in the squad. Not even in a "break glass incase of emergency" role.

We will never truly know I suspect. But I would bet that this is a calculated gamble to get him 100 percent healthy the rest of the way, for what the team hopes is a long run. He could play if this were a game 3 we needed to win. But Australia is going to attack him physically, re-injure him and it becomes a tournament long thing.
Either way, f we can't scrape at least a point at home without him, that's on the other guys, not him.

There is no way to have an "emergency" in this game

Pulisic deserves all the criticism. He's made of glass and honestly his heart comes to question for me. Biggest summer in the history of this national team and he's out because someone touched his calf. Cannot ever understand that mentality

Losing this game would be an emergency. We lose this game and a Paraguay-Turkey draw creates the possibility of us finishing 4th in the group.
