Wrong board but Matt Duchene just did something filthy

It's genuinely stunning how much better Coop is playing off a PG than not. He's a top 20 player in the league right now at 19 with a competent PG on the floor.
Just in: The NBA will hold a vote at the Board of Governors meetings March 24-25 to explore adding expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle, with the two franchises targeted for the 2028-29 season, sources tell ESPN. There is momentum for stakeholders to approve… pic.twitter.com/H6AYVdhh7S

It's a good reminder that things weren't really as bad as the losing streaks made it seem. The team has good players on it still and is getting 2 good players back next season (hopefully).
I suppose that's what makes it so painful to win, that you could add an awesome player to an already good team going in to next year.
But still a good reminder that we don't suck lol.

I think after the top four (Peterson, Boozer, Dybantsa, and Wilson) it will be a whole lot of who fits with what team and scheme, more than it is "Acuff is the next best guy" or "Flemings is the next best guy." I just don't think there is much, if anything, that separates Flemings, Acuff, Wagler and Mikel Brown Jr.

give me acuff, he's still slightly above average as a defender....but quite obviously the next bonafide face of the franchise type of scorer. Just hoping he falls to us.

This just isn't true. The advanced performance metrics say he's bad on defense and all the things the projections look for like steals+blocks aren't good either. It's hard to compare him to other shorter guards like Donovan Mitchell because Mitchell actually had really good defensive qualities in college. Even Kyrie's defensive metrics were way better in college.
But it's like MC Swag said, what he does on offense is a fit for the Mavs' offensive needs, while defensively maybe there is some cover built in around him. I'll be terrified if the Mavs draft him, but it will probably be a ton of fun to watch lol.

I was taking that directly from team scout and podcast page comments.
For me, we had Luka...his defense clearly isn't worse than that, and he seems much more apt to accept defensive coaching. I'm just not going to turn my nose up at the next dame lillard type guard over a few defensive weaknesses. Give me Acuff and I'll be elated.
