I was having flashbacks that last two minutes or so of regulation. Really sloppy. But they bowed up in OT. Good growth shown by the youngsters.

Last night is where we missed Fox and his veteran presence with the ball. Castle and Harper both played well and made some big plays, but 15 turnovers between your two primary ball handlers is not a recipe for success. Obviously they'll both improve but, it's tough to have a 2nd year player and a rookie running the show down the stretch of tight games.

Castle was reminding me of Manu down the stretch, where one minute you're cursing him for a boneheaded play and the next you're singing his praises for hitting a huge shot.

Ugly game last night but they found a way to win.
Will only focus on positives.
Victor needed only 1 more block to have a triple double.
Devin 6-14 from 3.
Victor fouled out about a minute into OT but the team didn't fold up the tent and got the win.
Lots of room for improvement but still 2-0.

I missed the game because I took my son camping in what turned out to be a tornado (touched down a few miles north of us) for his birthday.



Castle is just ice cold. If his shot falls at a decent rate (.542 fg .364 3fg so far) we will be a 50+ win team. Shot looks good. He's got the nuts to fire it and is just so level headed.

The fact that the Spurs saw Wemby get pulled by the refs and they still just stepped up and won in OT without the top two players on the team says a lot about the guys we have and the coaching we have.

Keep in mind Steph is still 20yo.

Both their BBIQs are just so incredibly high.

In other news, Keldon as a 7th-8th man just to come in for 20 minutes of playing balls out and creating havoc is such a fantastic role for him. If he can knock down some open threes like he is doing, clean up some glass and keep the other team's 2nd string frustrated, we have something really nice there.

I'm generally low on Keldon (esp defensively), but the guy plays balls out when he is out there. Right now the shot is falling and that makes him a great havoc maker off the bench. Loving what I see from him so far this year.

My bigger problem with the last few minutes is the multiple Vassell ISOs when Harper and Castle are on the court.
