Glad to see Holiday get some minutes in the 2nd rotation. Provided some offense while not getting repeatedly picked on on D.

If you went down to Fonde and picked out the best guy on a random Saturday, then gave him Reed's minutes, would he be noticeably worse?

Reed will do one thing right and then immediately follow it up with a **** up. If he ever cleans up his game, he could be a real useful player....right now we are better off letting Holiday have a chunk of his minutes.

In the end it doesn't matter, Josh Okogie is basically our PG now. He doesn't play the role of initiator on offense, but he shoots well enough to keep teams honest while KD, Sengun or Amen run the offense. On defense, he is the ideal defender against ball dominant PGs. He moves his feet well, has great hands and he absolutely works his ass off. His effort is really fun to watch. Great pick up by Stone/Ime.

Avoid the trap game tonight, and Friday night is one helluva early season matchup between Houston and a suddenly very-ahead-of-schedule San Antonio team.

If you haven't been watching Sportscenter every 3 minutes, Wemby is averaging 26.7 ppg, 13.7 reb, 4.7 blocks, 1.3 steals, and 3.2 assists a game. Also shooting 29% from three. Not to like an injury, but Dylan Harper their #2 overall guy strained his calf and is going to miss a lot of time so this is the time to get the jump on them.

Spurs are #2 in latest ESPN power ranks, Rockets are 5th. Rockets only 2 loses are to OKC (8-0) and Detroit (5-2).

PS : Cam Whitmore getting 15.9 minutes a game on a terrible Wizards team (1-6) Last year, he averaged 16.2 minutes a game for the Rockets.

PPS: Jalen Green still hasn't played a single minute for the Suns.

Former All-NBA player DeAaron Fox would be the #2 player, but he hasn't played all year and is out tonight. Spurs likely lost to the Lakers tonight and Rockets Friday

I meant they drafted that guy #2

Gotcha. Yeah, Harper was playing really well. Looks to be a minor calf pull and he should be back later this month.

I watched part of the Lakers game the other night and it was so strange watching Bronny, Knecht, and Hachimura all play together.

No sympathy as I recall our No. 3 overall guy Sheppard missing 30 or so games on the varsity squad last season. You just have to power through it.

Big game tonight!
Early start: 630 pm
Weird channel: Amazon Prime, which means the picture will be so good that you'll feel like you're on the court, but you'll forget what channel they're on and miss half the first quarter in an angry rage (that might just be me).

Remember; The Spurs are your enemies, and they should be booed at all times.

And also, the announcers probably suck and will spend the entire game talking about trash cans. Oh wait...

Gonna be a fun one tonight. I'm interested to see how Ime plays Wemby. He started out hot from the jump and took a step back in the last couple of games. They'll be hungry at home coming off two losses on the road.

I would be shocked if you didn't follow the blueprint that the Suns and Lakers laid out. They're being really physical before he got the ball to get him off his spots with smaller players. Refs are not prone to calling off ball fouls, so you can get away with a lot more there in most cases. Then you bring the double team immediately if he does get the ball and you may guys like Sochan and Champagnie hit shots too beat you

If you go back to how the rockets played him with Dillion Brooks, it's pretty much the same thing.

It's really not that much different than how Rudy T played Robinson in 95. Double off and play physical off ball and make Rodman and Avery Johnson hot shots and beat you

Our issue is that our new Brooks isn't back yet from his ankle injury.

Being physical definitely won't be a problem. You can't take Wemby completely out of the game, but limit him and make someone else take over to try and beat you. I'm surprised Phoenix was able to do that.

Speaking of Phoenix, I saw Ott was hyped about Green's debut. Just give it a while buddy.

This team needs DFS. I hope this is a "He's only coming back at 100% fully healed" situation and not something that will linger.

Green doesn't suck until the playoffs

Not sure that will be a problem in Phoenix anytime soon

The trade is going to be a win-win for both teams.

Jalen isn't a terrible player, but he is limited. He really struggles to coexist with a center that clogs the paint and he is definitely not a #1. With PHX he is going to have a wide open lane to attack and he can just defer to Booker when things get too hot.

At the same time, KD was underutilized in PHX as a #2. He thrives with the ball in his hands and desperately wants to be the focus in the biggest moments. The Rockets are happy to give him all of the biggest touches in the game while our bigs/wings dominate the glass. He also doesn't really require an open lane in order to operate. He can easily work from almost anywhere on the floor, with one the best outcome being a midrange jumpshot.

I made it a point to watch the PHX game last night and JG definitely looked good. He was full of confidence and made tons of great plays. That said, I wouldn't even consider undoing that trade based upon how mature our team has looked this season. We needed KDs mentality and calming presence more than anything than JG can provide.

Need Steven Adams to employ some Hakeem early-career defense on Wemby.
