I don't know if it is age or he's always been this way. I know he's getting up there in NBA years, but he made no effort on that play other than sticking his hand up. They still looked good for game one against the champs.

Need DFS to get healthy quickly to eat up some of those minutes from the bench. Good effort tonight. Felt like setting the table for the WCF on night one

He's 37, in double OT, in the first game of the season. Could we ask more from an old superstar? It kind of is what it is. Young KD wouldn't have missed that FT.

Are there any starting pgs in the league we could package Reed and Tari for?

Reed is "more aggressive" but so far and it's only one game but he is still the game guy

I definitely think there will be worse defenses we'll face that will help a lot of folks look better on O. It's more a question how much he (speaking about Reed, specifically) can grow through the regular season to where you can trust (or not) him come playoff time.

He was getting blown by on D so it's good he tried to justify his being on the floor on the other end. A couple of times he brought it up, dribbled out the shot clock, and launched well contested errant shots. I suspect he was told to be aggressive with his shot to see if the Rockets can make fetch happen.

We need to know if he's unplayable.

Let's be honest here: The Rockets have had some really lucky personnel contributions to get where they are right now even with FVV hurt. Since 2021, the Rockets have used #1 draft picks on : Jalen Green (ass), Usman Garuba (ran back to Spain); Josh Christopher (out of the league); Jabari (the new Buck Johnson), tari Eason - (tremendous but constantly getting hurt); Amen - (fantastic and great potential); Cam Whitmore (not a fan of trying); and Reed Sheppard (incomplete grade, but hovering around D- so far).
That's one really good player, one good player who keeps getting hurt, and one guy barely good enough to start out of 8 first-round picks, with 4 of them being in the top 4. . . .

The squandering of draft capital for sucking was highlighted when they put up the graphic during the game that Presti acquired Durant, Westbrook, and Harden for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th overall picks.

We have a good squad in spite of largely not drafting well with our top picks.

Jabari made his time count and made some big shots. I am a little worried about Reed on defense but I think he was a little star struck (I wish Ime played him more last year to prepare him for these types of moments). Overall, they played well. and against the Thunder (who played outstanding defense all night). Friday against the Pistons, Rockets should feast. I will be in BR but wish I can go. I feel great about where we are but the offense looked very strange without FVV which shows you how valuable it is to have the veteran PG is. KD will get better. First Post*

He looks fine. Even with a torn ACL he is probably better than Reed so lets just play him.

Heard Bill Simmons say that Amen was just cramping at the end of the game Tuesday so hopefully he is good to go for tonight.

Thunder won another Double OT game last night. Through two games SGA is averaging 20 free throw attempts a game. Last year he averaged 8.8 attempts.

Apparently the first team ever to have an OT game in their first 2 games of the season. Seems crazy that hasn't happened before.

SGA is too good to get all those soft calls, it is getting absurd.
