I think it was nembhard from the pacers that was handed checking, sga hooks his arm in while driving to get the foul and injured Nembhard.

Announcers in Game 1 also talked about it like it's a good thing, calling him the "master of the bump play". And as long as he's getting the call I guess it is and he should obviously keep doing it.

But it's difficult to see how it's good for the game to allow an offensive players to initiate contact against any good defensive play (proximity) and get two free throws out of it. The alternative is just leave him open and let him make a bunch of mid range floaters?

This has always been the biggest barrier for me in wanting to be an NBA fan. I hate how different players are officiated differently.

I hate watching the thunder play basketball because of the free throw parade that SGA marshalls. He should catch the same level of smoke that Harden gets.

Last night the warriors and nuggets were playing and it was simply a joy to watch. That game was so much better than the previous game (OKC v IND) because there were only 38 FTs in the whole game. In contrast, the Thunder shot 51 free throws last night by themselves. I get that there is contact on most of SGA's drives, but no more or less than any other player. Jokic basically gets hammered on every play, but he only shot 4 Fts all night.

Let them play...or more specifically, let them play against the Thunder

First time posting since the season started, looking forward to watching it wire to wire tonight.

Maybe I was being overly harsh, but did it look to anyone else like Durant and Thompson were just flat-out ignoring Sheppard when they were on offense? I feel sorry for the guy, but as an old school Rockets' fan he's starting to give me Dave Jamerson vibes.

Bill Simmons said they thought they had the next Mark Price but he's looking a lot more like Brent Price (former Rocket non-legend) lately.

They gotta trade this guy for a serviceable point guard at some point right? I know it's 2 games into the season, but somebody else needs to bring the ball up and just be the steady hand so the other 4 can get in the offense.

It's kind of looking like we'll be lucky if he develops into a less dirty Grayson Allen. We could use journeyman talent at guard now to be sure.

JD and Holiday are better than Reed. Ime just needs to be brave enough to play them.

That said, our team defense is ass right now. If we clean that up, we win regardless of who is our 2nd string PG.

Absolutely, but to call him a 2nd team guard downplays how much of a factor he's been (presumably at the team's direction). Our players 3-5 at hefting the most FG attempts are Jabari (10-29), Amen (10-25), and Reed (6-22). No one else below has more than 11.

Reed also has 5 TOs to go with his 5 assists. If he was a 2nd round pick he'd still be in the G league instead of forcing 10+ shots a game.

Small sample size though. He's going to have a good game on offense pretty soon I bet.
