My only gripe with Reed right now is his overpursuit on defense is letting them move the ball around with ease. Needs to be a little more disciplined, but I love his confidence on both ends of the floor

Off-day (mostly schedule) musings...

I'm not buying the Pistons as a really good team yet (they've only played 2 games against the current 2-6 seeds in the East; their games against the West have been against us, Dallas (5-14), Memphis (6-12) and Utah (5-12)), but that loss last month doesn't look quite as terrible in hindsight seeing as how they are 15-2.

We have four instances of back-to-back games against the same team in the same city (two are true B2B, two have a night off in between)...decided to look ahead since we have one coming up in Utah. Lessens the amount of travel a bit, so the players should like it.

We've played the fewest number of games so far (15) and no B2B, which has been good for getting max minutes out of Steven Adams in particular...will be interested to see how that plays out going forward when the B2B start to occur.

A really odd non-Rockets schedule quirk I noticed while schedule-surfing: Less than 20 games into the season, Sacramento has already played OKC and Denver 3x each.

Our early season punching bag (Reed Sheppard) has had a really good month of November, notwithstanding the off shooting night last night...hopefully he's got this in him for the long haul and I hope he's back to coming off the bench soon.

The whole Eastern Conference feels like a chasm due to Tatum and Halliburton' injuries.

The Cavs were 64-18 last year, they're already 12-7 to start.
Milwaukee's 8-10, not even in the play-in tourney right now.
I'm not sure if the Pacers are just absolutely terrible without Haliburton or tanking, but if he's back healthy next year and they have a Top 4 pick added they should get back to good quick. It'll be like the year the Spurs tanked for Duncan.

I am interested in Miami. They started off 11-6, then got Herro back last night and looked in mid-season form.
